Good Morning Mama's,
Sarah was born yesterday, 8/16/08 @ 7:47am...a 9lb 11oz, 21 " beauty!!
The Lord has a great sense of humor with me...actually with our whole family. We had a house full of young adults sleeping over Friday night...when I went to bed I thought to myself, "If I go into labor tonight I'm gonna laugh."...well, I woke up at about 3:40am...went to the bathroom, kinda had a feeling I might be in labor...went to wake up my dh...he went to fill up the birthing tub...my water broke :mrgreen:
I still hadn't had any real pain at this point...I was so excited...I woke up my dd...and my ds and his friend. The boys went into the basement and my daughters two friends stayed up in her room.
I had my dh, my sis, my dd and my mw there. I dilated very quickly to 10cm...It wasn't too painful either...but because she was so large and her hand was up by her face it took over 2 hours to push her out. All in all...4 hours , start to finish...so I can't complain. :giggle2: Pushing her out was excruciatingly painful....Still, she was worth it!! I feel great!!

Congratulations for your new baby girl. I like her name too:) I'm a Sarah and my sister's name is Elizabeth.

Congratulations!!! How did your older children's friends feel about being in the house while you gave birth?
My son and his friend left...He wasn't too upset...my sons friend is one of seven children...he was there when his mom had his youngest sister at home and they disected the placenta..Their weird homeschoolers like us..LOL He also sleeps over almost every weekend, so it was no surprise that he was there.
My daughters friends thanked me for letting them be there. THey stayed up in my dd's b'room and prayed for me...they were there for right after she was born and for the placenta. THey are older , friends of her..21 y/o.
i'm feeling good, just a little sore..and my nipples are really sore.

That's awesome! I'm glad they were all so okay with it! Negative thoughts or energy in the house wouldn't have been helpful at all. Sounds like a wonderful experience all around for everyone! :goodvibes:

Thank you ladies...I'm really enjoying her!! I'm not sure if i'm enjoying her more because i'm older and really appreciate how quickly this will go by or if i'm just still in "Babymoon".
I'm typing up a full baby story w/ pics for my blog. I'll let you all know when its done. IN the mean time...MY daughter kept a minute by minute diary of my labor. It's really interesting reading her perspective. I do have that posted on my blog...it's kinda funny. :giggle2:
