When heating up homemade baby food that you've frozen, do you heat it up until it's super hot then let it cool down before giving to baby, or do you heat it up just enough so that it's lukewarm?

I'm just wondering about the risks of doing the latter. If I always have to heat food until it's piping hot, what's the best way to let it cool down (quickly enough) before baby eats it?

Ok, it if is frozen . . . I put it in the fridge the night before - that way it is defrosted.

I have found that 18 seconds works well for us to heat it up. I stir real well and then taste on my own tongue first before giving to her.

Just test the temps and find what works for your micro.
