With DD and DS, I lost weight (and everything else in the sink/toilet!) for the first 20+ weeks, but with this pregnancy I'm not sleeping as much at night - which I think may be helping some since I'm eating more often - b/c I have the other two, and I just can't. I wake up to go to the bathroom and then desperately need a snack, but, although not getting sick, I am nauseated 24/7 and a lot of my normal go-to snacks are making me gag to even think about!:giggle: Anyone found anything yet that at least stays down, is easy, and sometimes maybe even kindof helps with the nausea? I've found that eating a carrot and/or grapes before bed helps, but then I still need something else during the night. I was eating pb, but about 2 weeks ago it started making me gag to smell, think about, okay gotta go:yuck:

You know this time around all bets are off.. I'm not throwing up as much but also not eating much either. (I'm 10 weeks but still haven't gained any weight even with most food staying down.) And for me, eating past say 5ish is just not possible most days and I've never been a middle of the night eater... don't think I've ever eaten a thing at that time actually.
But for other times of the day when I just know I must finally eat something plain baked pot. with just a dash of salt goes down ok, along with soup, noodles, carrots, apples, avacado is ok sometimes.
Maybe try gingersnaps, dry cereal, or fruit for a quick midnight snack.

I know what you mean! I was violently ill and down way too many pounds already with the other 2, but not so with this one. Just REALLY tired and nauseated 24/7. A plain baked pot. has been sounding good to me, too. Maybe I should just bake a few tomorrow... I know it's sad I couldn't think about this for myself, but I'm soooooo tired.:giggle: Thanks for your response:goodvibes:

The only things I can really eat are starches and cheese. So I take a block of cheddar cheese and slice it. Then when I need a snack, I grab a slice of cheddar and a piece of bread and eat that. Yeah, it's not real nutrious, but I can't keep anything else down, so that's what I eat.

I too have sliced up some cheese and keep red grapes handy, they taste great together and neither of them leave a taste in my mouth to make me gag :) I feel sick 24/7 but there have only been a few days that I have vomited and about 4 days a week I wake up and have the dry heaves - also no weight gain here. Counting down the days until our 2nd trimester :goodvibes:

I have a small fridge in my room that my DH filled with snacks and bottled water. I have string cheese, strawberry kefir, almonds, and yogurt. I also keep a banana on my nightstand.I just started the Brewer'd diet and it is cutting down my nausea. Who would have thought eating would feel like such work?! :giggle:

I love grapes and cheese when I am pregnant! I had forgotten to put that in my fridge.. I will have to add that!

Sliced cheddar cheese does sound good, but there's no way I could get DH to go to the store for it now.:giggle: Guess I'll get some tomorrow.
I figure we have cravings for a reason, and our need for calcium does increase with pregnancy - some more than others, so maybe that's why it's working for you.
I'm with all of you on the countdown. I just knew I was further along (I had nothing to go on but a solitary cycle back in the middle of May sometime) and found out Friday that I'm only 9 weeks.:yuck: Stupid nausea. At least I get some comfort from the fact that it likely means the baby is still growing well inside me.

I'm having crazy cravings. I eat whatever I want and if it doesn't stay down, so be it, lol. I have been wanting jalepeno poppers all the time. NOT good for the heartburn! The other night I wanted dh to go get some and he was like, it's not so bad that it's 10 p.m., but you already had some today! Gross!

For all three girls I could eat anything anytime. But with this one nothing sounds good. It's really sad. I'm hungry all the time but nothing appeases me. Another reason I think this one is a boy.

Soup! Chicken noodle and tomato. I eat the healthy request kind to cut back on my sodium intake.

All I'm eating is mashed potatoes! My husband goes to the store almost every other day to pick some Bob Evans mashed potatoes up-sometimes I'll do a baked potato. Maybe need the carbs and potassium? Hope you feel better! And ginger ale-that comes up real easy!

In the night I just want something quick and easy because I'd rather be asleep, so I just have a banana in the night.
