I'm feeling very stuck. I had to transfer my care, as midwives at The Birth Center in Bryn Mawr are no longer allowed to do vbacs at the hospital. I'm really liking my OB who is open to limited intervention and won't jump all over scheduling another c/s as soon as I approach my due date. But, I also have injured my pubic symphysis with this pregnancy, so I'm expecting a more painful labor as far as that area goes and I'm stuck on the idea that a water birth would be ideal for easing that pain and getting lo2 into the proper position for a successful vbac.

I hate to change practices again (and I'm 33 weeks so I'm not sure of my options at this point) but I really don't want to regret not trying for a waterbirth. DH is nervous about home birth and I'm just not sure where to turn.

At the very least thanks for listening. LMK if you have any input!

Hi Brooke,

It's been about a month so I'm not sure where you're at with your birth plans, but I was planning a home VBAC earlier this year with midwives from Philadelphia (we're in king of prussia). I ended up going 2 1/2 wks past my due date and transferring to Lankenau; labored all day and had a repeat c/s (bummer). My homebirth midwives were amazing and I only wish things had been different and I could have had my DS at home. I had SPD too and had the waterbirth tub all set up ready to go in our bedroom. :)

Anyway, feel free to pm me if you want to talk! :)
