Hi everyone
Jack was born on 8/18. He weighed 9#9oz and measured 21 inches long. His full name is Jacob Isaiah. I started having contractions every 4 minutes at 5am. We finally called my inlaws around 7am to come to watch DS. We arrived at the hospital at 8:30 and I was dilated to 4-5 cm and I was having painful contractions every two minutes. I got my epidural just in time. Jack arrived 28 minutes after I started pushing. With my 1st I pushed for 2.5 hours. It was a great delivery and my recovery is going really well.
Our 1st night with Jack was really scary. He aspirated fluid into his lungs during delivery and was having difficulty breathing. He went to the special care nursery and needed to receive cpap for 4 hours. He was started on IV antibiotics. He then was put in a oxihood and had turned the corner by the morning. He finally was d/c'd on Saturday morning. He's doing great now. We're getting on the same schedule for breastfeeding and it's going really well.
We are so thankful to be home as a family and that Jack is healthy.
I look forward to hearing when the rest of you have your babies.
