Hi. Im not in Guatemala, but great to have you hear! I used to travel alot to central and south america before moving to Europe. Do many people there cloth diaper?

Oh! Yes, a ton of people cloth diaper here, but they use some of the worst quality diapers you have ever seen. They really just wrap whatever they can find around the baby.

No one in middle/upper socioeconomic groups use cloth. Pure disposable, which is why you see diapers on the side of the road in trash heaps. Breaks my heart.

Anyway, still on the lookout for any other mom's in Guatemala! :lostit:

Not in Guatemala but my DH is from El Salvador and I'm planning on visiting his family there sometime soon. Just wanted to say hello... :wave2: and let you know you're not alone. DH's sister CDed using PFs and flats when she had her baby there.

I hear ya! We just returned to N. Amer form living in Peru. Same thing there - no middle/upper class would ever cd. I heard about the "new wave" of cd's while still living there. I wanted to try some, but it wouls have been practically impossible there. All I could find in Peru were old flats and pins and that did not interest me. Hope you find more support in Guatemala.
