Dh and I are into weird spellings (well, more like I am and he is in for the ride!). We have decided to name our newest daughter Kayleigh Alexis...The hard part is figuring out how to spell it. Here are my ideas

Caylee (don't like C names that much and reminds me of the little girl from Florida)
Kayley
Kaylee
Kayleigh
Kaeleigh
Kailey

I am kinda stumped and there isn't one that I like more than another (except Caylee). So what are your ideas? Which one do you like best! I am open to anything! lol TIA!!:lostit:

I like Kayleigh with the look of Josalynne, becaause they are both long. How about Kailey?

My dh also vetoed this name! I was going with simple - Kaly - but I don't know that you would want one quite that short with your other DD's long version of her name??? I love the spelling Kayleigh, too! GL.:goodvibes:

I think Kayleigh is gorgeous and looks great with your other dd's name, however, it'll be easier for OTHER ppl to spell and figure out Kaylee. So I guess it just depends on if you care if people misspell it often or not?!

I love Kayleigh but that's b/c my 21 year old is named that (and we used that spelling) - now... if you do that be prepared for people to never be able to spell it (they often reverse the i and the e if they even get that far), and for the potential to call her KayLAY which I'll NEVER understand. I thought the spelling was very straight forward and easy.
AND to try and call her Kay as if Leigh was her middle name... she has a seperate middle name thankyouverymuch. :)
Her baby's daddy's family calls her Kay and I HATE it. It doesn't bother her enough to correct them I guess and she's old enough so I don't correct them even tho' I cringe every time I hear it.

Now Kailey I would try to pronounce Ki (long I) lee, since Kai is K-eye.

Have fun with whatever you choose!

I saw let DH pick what looks right to him, so he always spells the name right.

In 8th grade, there was a girl named Caleigh and I love her name. It's way too popular now :( but I still love that spelling... I'd just do it with a K if that's what you like, Kaleigh.

I hate the fact that it is getting poular...that is the reason Josie is Josalynne, but when we looked at this name we just knew that it was the right name.

Dh really likes Kaeleigh.

Also, I am not worried about correcting spelling or pronunciation, but I have to do it all the time with Josie! lol
