I've been losing my mucus plug for a couple weeks. I lost a clump varying in color from clear to white to yellowish about the size of a dime every few days for the last two weeks. Then the last couple days I lost a clump every time I went to the bathroom. Then last night I lost some pink clumps and had some pinkish discharge when I wiped. So, does that mean I've finally expelled the whole thing? Or I'm closer to labor? Just curious what's with the color change.

i COULD be wrong im no dr or expert but I think to some degree your mucous plug can regenerate itself to a certain degree. I think now that you are seeing more pink and what not that it means its really coming out and your losing a bigger more significant portion...
Within hours of losing a bit of mine the first time i went into labor
and the 2nd time the entire thing poped right out of me but was completly clear but i went into labor 2 hours later....

I too, lost my pieces of my plug over about a week and a half before I went into labor. The colour varied from clear, to pink, to blood streaked to brown. I hope your soon!!!

I have never heard that you could lose it over a couple of days! learn something new every day ;) I lost mine the first time in one clump, and I had her the next day. ;)

My understanding is that it can regenerate itself so if it's lost too early, there is a protective measure built in. I didn't lose mine until I was in labor but lots of people lose their's earlier with not negative repercussions.

I lost mine earlier on, and then I think it came back, and I've been losing it again, although I've never had any pink streaking in mine whenever I've noticed it, however it's usually a good sign that labor is nearing :thumbsup:
