Need some thrifty Halloween costumes!

I have an almost 5 year old boy, a 3 year old boy, and a 7 month old girl.

Do you have a stuffed cat toy? One could dress in all black, wear a mask--or paint one on and carry that around--Presto! Cat Burglar. too late to think of anything else for my tired brain right now.

Sweat pants and sweat shirt( you can die them too!), sew on a tail of choice, paint the little one's face, buy a headband, ad some ears!

I heard of a cute idea last year. A boy in a sweat shirt and sweat pants with socks and dryer sheets pinned all over. He was static cling.

take some overalls and sew some patches on them, hot glue some straw just on the insides of the sleeves/feet, add a straw hat and a painted face, and voila! a scarecrow!

or take a white or yellow sweatsuit and sew a white feather boa down both arms for wings. take a yellow baseball cap and paint eyes just over the "bill" and you have a duck!

take a white sweatsuit (with a hood) and sew some black felt patches on it. take a pair of black socks and sew them onto the hood for ears, paint on a nose, and you have a dalmation.

i did all of these for my son when he was little, and they turned out so cute.
