Mine isn't until early Nov, cause my doc is so busy right now. This is my second so not too worried since most testing doesn't start till the second or third month anyways. Just curious if everyone has already called their doc, or if anyone is still waiting?

I have had one Drs. Appointment, actually to get my cycle kick started and there was my surprise. THey did my HCG levels and I go back for an ultrasound on Tues. to get an accurate due date. Crossing my fingers all is well.

I have been to the doctors office once to get labs drawn. I go back next Tuesday to get them drawn again. However, I've had two m/cs, one just 8 weeks ago, so they are keeping a really close eye on me.

I already had 1 visit and labs done. I was 4 1/2 weeks along. I have my next appt and ultra sound on the 30th of October.
My dr says it depends on the dr and he likes to see you early.

I haven't made an appt yet. I'm still desiding if I will go with my family doc who delivered the boys or do a home water birth. I can't deside.......I want the water birth but don't know if I'm strong enough to do it. Cost isn't the issue, they will cost about the same out-of-pocket for us. Like I said, I just don't know if I can do it....

I go see my midwife Nov. 13. They wait until 10 weeks for the first visit so they can do all the labs and the pap without disturbing the cervix too early. I won't get an u/s until 18 weeks.

Going in for blood work and pregnancy dating on the 22nd if my insurance card comes before then. If not, it will be rescheduled.
After those are done, I'll see my home birth midwife once a month.

My first appt is Nov. 3. He said he would do an u/s too. I'll be about 8 weeks if I'm due when I think I am. I'm excited about the u/s this time around b/c with DS it was just 6 weeks and all we could see was a little blob with a heartbeat. I'm excited to see more baby this time!

I have decided to step back with this pregnancy, with my son, I had so many rough patches where I was having invasive tests and ultrasounds, this time I am just getting the basics. I'll get my initial ultrasound around week 8, but after that, I'm going to skip out unless I have problems.
With my son, I was told at my 6 week appointment that I was carrying triplets. I had an ultrasound, ruled out multiples but then I was told that my ultra high hCG levels meant down syndrome, I had the quad screen and the nunchal fold translucency test. I went through a good 6 weeks convinced that something was wrong with him.
He was born FINE.
So I am doing this with out all the interventions this time.

Our first appt. is this Wednesday, the 15th. I really want a water birth with a midwife at a birthing center, but it'll be several weeks before we can make an appt. with her (have to go through a consultation and everything first) and since this is my first I have tons of questions and just want to make sure everything is normal and fine right now. We'll decide who we'll use officially later.

I'm going the midwife route, and plan on setting up an appt when I begin my 2nd trimester when we can hear a h/b. I don't see any point in going earlier than that, I don't plan on having any tests or u/s.

I made up my mind.....I'm doing the water birth. I spent a lot of time last night on the phone with the midwife, she answered all my questions and was really helpful. We have an intital interview on Sunday evening. To meet in person, talk about cost and figure out the payment plan. She offers a sliding scale. Then we'll make my first appt with her. I'm so excited!

I have 2 midwives in mind. One I've e-mailed back and forth with, and she seems really nice. I ended up m/c-ing 2 days before I was supposed to meet her in person last time. The other is about 2 hours away, but my friend loves her and said she is used to delivering Amish babies, so she's pretty much done it all, and has a lot of experience with breech births.
Also- as I said in the other thread, we don't have insurance until December, so if it's WAY cheaper to deliver in a birth center, I may be tempted to go that route. It's definintely not what I want, but we need to buy a house, so that could be a deciding factor. I'm assuming that our insurance won't cover a homebirth.

I don't feel like going in yet... I had another pregnancy a couple a months ago that didn't work out early on. I want to wait a little longer. I am very anxious to get an ultra sound though- so fun.

Not till the end of November:cry: Even though this will be our 4th I have been recently diagnosed with Crohn's disease and was on several medications as this was a surprise baby. I would just feel better getting in sooner. The ob I had before moved away. And these are the best options left.
