So, my DS will be 2 in December. My DH has been wanting to start trying for awhile, but I haven't been totally sure that I am ready. I haven't been on birth control, figuring maybe being suprised is the best way to go lol. So, I realized a couple of days ago that I don't remember when my last period was, I think probably a month or so, so I took a pregnancy test and it was positive right away. I think I'm excited...just tell me that my darling son will be ok, that i'm not depriving him of my attention by getting pregnant. i don't know, i am the center of his world, and I don't want him to suffer. It is probably a silly concern, but I can't help it. I guess I'm just looking for other's experiences. Thanks!!

congrats! my odd was 2.5 when my ydd was born and she was fine- no problems whatsoever- but she's a daddy's girl. my ydd will be 19mos when this one comes and i am MUCH more concerned. she is TOTALLY a mommy's girl and i am worried about jealousy issues for her.

so you're not alone. just keep him as involved as possible. we talked about the baby in mommy's tummy constantly, about her being a big sister and what that would mean. be sure to give new things several months to set in- like potty training, bed/room moving, etc. we moved my odd out of the nursery and crib 3 months before ydd came. she didn't potty train until after so that wasn't a problem.

Congrats! And welcome to the June Board!

Your DS will be fine. Think of all the fun he'll have being a big brother. I have number 3 on the way, trust me, there is always enough time for all your children!

Congrats! I had some of those concerns too. My main one is that I'll lose her milk and she'll be forced to wean.

This will be our 4th and i worry about that with every kid:giggle: and it never happens. Sometimes there is a slight jealousy issue but I never feel like they aren't getting the love and attention they deserve b/c of the other sibling. And they all love each other so much I can't imagine not giving them the gift of a brother/sister

My DD was 7 when I had DS...I was worried she'd run away to her friends house or something but she loves her little PITB brother. Congrats!
