So I have an ultrasound appt on wednesday. It is at my local pregnancy center though. I haven't picked a midwife yet. I haven't even met with the homebirth midwife I was thinking of using.
Last night I woke up w/ my sick two year old and I was bleeding. It was bright red blood but like one gush..soaked through my underwear but not my pants. It seems to have almost stopped now. I have had bleeding with every one of my other pregnancies and it turned out to be nothing serious. Do I wait until Wednesday...do i go to the ER(I don't think I'll do his unless I start bleeding again)...do I call the MW that i used during my last pregnancy? What would you do?

I would call the pregnancy center or previous midwife. Perhaps the center can get you in today or tomorrow. If you've experienced this before, I would think you should just trust your gut instinct :) Take care!

I personally would call someone, but thats just me. I know since you've had it before it may not be a big deal, but I'd hate for something to be wrong and you not get the attention you need.

I would call if it were me, but bleeding is very scary for me.

Thanks..I'm still not sure. I'm not bleeding anymore and I don't have any cramping or anything. i think i may give it a few more hours and see what happens

If I were you, and you've had this before with previous pregnancies, I'd wait til your appointment to being it up. I'd defiantly call if you start bleeding again though. :hugs:

I would say it's also possible that maybe you had a small bleed behind the placenta (subchorionic hematoma) that caused the bleeding episode. That happens with some women and everything ends up fine. I had one with DD and never spotted/bled from it but a friend of mine was spotting and bleeding until she was 16 weeks because of one.

:hugs: You could always call where you have the appt for wed and ask if they would like to see you sooner or if it is ok to just keep the scheduled appt.
Glad that you have an appt for an u/s on wednesday that way you can see that your little one is ok

Glad to hear the bleeding has stopped! I freak over everything, I would have probably gone to the ER, but that's just me. :giggle: If you've experienced this with other pregnancies, it's probably just normal for you then. Hope all is well, keep us updated! :hugs:
