Has anyone had their LO go for an adjustment? My son has an appointment on Monday and I'm kind of hoping to get an idea of what to expect.

He's 6 weeks (suffering from what I think is silent reflux and perhaps some colic too) so I'm hoping this will make him feel a bit better.

I hope it goes ok. I haven't even been to a chiropractor before!!

I took Ds to the chiropractor for his reflux. DH thinks I'm insane but I think it really helped. It took a couple weeks of going back for adjustments. I think the prevacid he's on was keeping his adjustments from holding but like I said, it really helped. They are really gentle with babies. He would hold ds to his chest and just squeeze him a bit putting some pressure on his spine. Ds never cried or even flinched. Good luck! I hope you guys get some relief and keep in mind, you may have to go back again before you see results. :goodvibes:

since she was 2w old. she goes for tuneups monthly or so as well. its helped her alot. anytime she starts having pt accidents, I know its time for an adjustment.

yes. they are so very gentle with babies. just a bit of pressure from fingers or thumbs.

and just a head's up, the first time i took the boys (4-5 months) they passed right out after their adjustment. i mean right then and there! and these were not pass out kind of kids, so i was quite unnerved. but they were fine, just felt good i guess. i know i usually feel so much better after an adjustment, so why not them too? :goodvibes:

My chiro adjusts baby under 1 yod for FREE. We go in at least once a month unless they show signs of needing more. Right now I am going weekly to be ready for my upcoming labor. I keep making the appointment for the next week knowing that eventually I will be taking my newborn. They come out so smashed from the birth canal. :)

They are SOOO Gentle. It doesn't even look like they are adjusting the babies. The only time my LOs cry during an adjustment if they need their ears popped to get fluid off the ears. But I hate getting my ears poppes as well so I can see why they cry. My chiro also gives free adjustments for birthdays and my older kids always remind me that they need their free adjustment. Even they love to go and feel so much better.

Don't be nervous momma. These are the best for babies.

We've been going for over a year now and it's incredible! There isn't any popping, or anything, well, Jack's actually popped one or two times I guess, but it's just gentle manipulation on the spine, putting it where it should be vs. where it's shifted too. Makes everything work better.

My ds has been going to our chiro since he was a couple weeks old. She has been amazing with him. I try and get him in a few times during the winter season to keep his neck adjusted. The ears and nose are connected thru nerves in his neck. She keeps those adjusted along with us doing all natural things here keeps the ear infections away! She did have to adjust his hip once when he slipped on the bathroom floor. I heard it pop too but it didn't bother my ds at all. He came away from there w/o limping. He went in limping.
I will be taking the twins in as soon as I can. May be a month or two after they are born, but they will see her. She says she just has to see them!
