I am trying to do a transaction with another member on here.
she is in the US and i am trying to pay her through paypal.. i am having two issues:
1) the conversion on paypal is ridiculous! my 135 price to convert to american dollars on paypal is costing me 170 canadian through paypal.. is that not an insane exchange rate? i though the canadian dollar was actually higher than the american right now?
2) she is willing to ship in the US for much cheaper (i have an aunt who will take them for me as we live close to the border i can go visit her to get them)
but i cannot add an american shipping address to my canadian paypal account?
SO.. this leads to the problem of me having to pay to shipping to canada which will cost so much more (esp at the crazy exchange rate that paypal is using cuz i have to pay it all through paypal) and then probably duty on them when they arrive at my door, which will probably cost about 20 dollars too.
so my stash i want to buy for 135 is going to end up costing me about 200-210 by the end
what am i doing wrong.. is there a way through paypal to do this??
