After a 17 hour induction, Abby finally arrived November 20 at 8:49 pm. She was 7 lbs and 19 3/4 inches. My smallest baby so far! We are trying to figure each other out, and work out a few bf'ing kinks, but she's doing well. Labor was typical for me....slow but steady....but I was really worn out by the end this time around. Guess I'm not as young as I used to be! Although I did spontaneously decide to watch the delivery in the mirror this time...pretty cool! I was always afraid to watch before. I don't have any pics right now (been too busy to even take any much less upload them) but I'll try to get one up soon.
Interestingly, there were two things about this delivery that I've never experienced before. (1) She had a knot in the umbilical cord. Didn't cause any problems with HR during delivery...we didn't even know until after she delivered. (2) I had a double lobed placenta. My ob "sent it off" but I don't know what for....kept forgetting to ask. Anyone know about these?
Oh well...must go fold some laundry now. Congrats and good luck to everyone!
