Ok, I am going to try and make this short.
Basically I bought a baby potty for my son right before he was 2. He went on it a couple of time then wanted nothing to do with it.
I have been trying to potty train him for the past year but he wasnt ready and I didnt want to push the issue and make a bigger problem of it.
I tried letting him run naked or put big boy undies etc.. and he would just pee. He would sit on the potty for 20 minutes and wouldnt go, then you put a diaper on him and he would pee within a coupe minutes.
I tried bribes also but they didnt work.
Well the past week he has been really into going on the potty. I have to leave him naked or else he will pee thinking underwear are diapers and thats its ok. He has trouble with pull ups and stuff so I dont even use them.
Now he is sooo excited about going on the potty. he sits, does his business right away ( even quicker than I do ) and claps and tells me all done.
I am so completely excited and proud of him. He has come a long way in the past few months ( not just potty related but he is about 1 year behind in speach due to apraxia ) so his speech isnt good and his comprehension is also behind a bit.
So I just wanted to share this cause I am so happy that my little guy is doing so well. I know other mamas might have kids that were potty trained like a year younger than my boy his, but he has accomplished a lot for him and where he is at in life right now. He may only be 3 but he has gone through a lot in those few years.
