How long does it take bm to dry up? I was thinking of how much I miss nursing and a few minutes later I was LEAKING!! Is that nuts or what? I thought I was all dried up. I weaned her a couple months ago. Were trying to get preggo could that have something to do w/ it?

It can take a while to completely dry up. You could try cabbage leaves.
Unless you are not getting your period it should have nothing to do with not getting pregnant. You may want to chart to help with timing.

Every mommy can be different. I have known many moms to still have milk up to a year or more after weaning. I mean it is not like when you were nursing but it is still there. As far as leaking goes it could definately be a hormonal thing especially since it has only been a couple months since weaning ;)

I have always had milk, since my first weaned in 1998....four years later I was pg with #2 and I could still express a little milk. 2yrs after #3 weaned I leaked alittle. I am nursing #4 right now and I suspect I will still have some milk long after he weans.
I think some women just have really active glands. There are things you can take to help dry it up. :hugs:
