DS never did that until after a year old...it seems like DD wants to drop hers already at 8 months...?

If she is not sleeping well at night, then she may be overtired for her am nap and then not able to sleep due to her overtiredness. Could you push the nap a little later then push the afternoon nap a little later and see if that works? I think 8 months is way to young to drop that nap. My 17 month old still needs that morning nap a few days a week.

my 14 month old gets atleast 1 nap.. 99% of the time its 2.. depends on what time he gets up
normally we are up at 630, morning nap around 10-1030 then afternoon nap bout 4 hrs after he wakes from morning nap and bed 3-4 hrs after he wakes from afternoon nap

I tried pushing her AM nap back three times today..she wasn't having it until the normal PM nap at 1230/1.
She will sleep 1.5-2 hours and that brings us to 3ish and no naps after that as bedtime is 630/7...so I can't have her nap a second time because then she won't go down to bed at night....
This is like the 5th or 6th day of her doing this...

My DD has been shortening her AM nap over the past week. She used to sleep for almost 2 hours at 9m. Now she will have a power nap at 10am - up 40mins later and have a 2hour PM nap. She is 7 months and will definitely be dropping the AM nap soon. DS2 was around 12 months when he dropped it.

DS was 13 months when he dropped his. I think that 8 months seems a little early to drop it, but I am definitely not an expert on the subject. Maybe keep trying for another week or so and then decide? Is there a growth spurt happening? Good luck!

Wow, all the signs besides her age point to her dropping that nap. I'm at a loss.

Let's see...my kids all dropped to 1 nap at different ages...
#1 - 15 months
#2 - 8.5 months
#3 - hmmm...I think it was shortly before the 1 year mark, maybe 10 months?
