How to clean my DS when he has a BM in underwear

Hi moms! I haven't posted in awhile because of stopping CDing when my DS turned 2 - I couldn't stand cleaning BM's from CD's anymore (DS has somewhat loose stools - no "rolling off the diaper" - ever!).

So now he's 2.5 & we're trying PL'ing this week. And I'm back to the whole BM issue. Does anyone have any tips or helpful hints as to the best way to handle them when they happen in his pants? I've tried taking them off with him standing up or laying down & it still ends up a big, huge MESS. DS is fighting, kicking, not liking any of it. I'm crying, he's crying, & it just makes me want to forget it all & try again in another month or something.

My issue isn't cleaning the underwear, it's how to keep everything from getting all over DS!! Any suggestions?? :cry:

DIDO I made some nice ones for my DS#2 and I love them. they are worth the investment. I suggest snappez if you can get them. I used one to make a pattern for my LO. but had to change the rise a little because he is skinny but talk.

We have this issue some days - underwear is all he'll wear some days yet he is not PL - i need to just take them all away! LOL
We do the change in the tub, BTW. try to get what u can off him with wipes, but then we end up with a bath. 2 shallow baths, really. The first one to get the residual poop off, the other to wash him. HTH - i know it's not fun.
