Help please! I don't know where to go from here. My daughter potty trained just before she turned 3. She did so pretty quickly and easily and was completely dry, day and night, home or out. Then in the last month she seems to forget to go to the potty until it's too late and she has piddled a little in her panties, not a full on accident though. She also started occasionally wetting the bed at night at the same time. Today she seems to have just given up on the whole thing and has just full out peed in her panties and hasn't seemed to care all that much. There haven't been any major changes around here or anything. I just don't understand what's going on or know what to do about it. I know someone around here has to have gone through this before. Can you help me please?

:hugs: Sometimes children start regressing in order to get more attention from adults, even if it's negative attention...? Could this be the case? If you're sure it's nothing of the sort, consult your pediatrician to make sure it's not a urinary tract infection or something medical.
According to the books I've read, once you've ruled out a medical condition, the best response is to just be matter-of-fact, "Oh, it looks like you've had an accident. When you were little, you used to be able to pee or poop in your diaper, but now that you're big, you need to remember to go to the potty." Try to avoid actually telling your dd that she's acting like a baby, and don't make her clean up messes all by herself, although it's certainly appropriate for her to help you soak up the puddles, change the sheets, and put her pants in a sink or basin to soak, so that she knows there are consequences to her accidents and it doesn't fall entirely on you.

Maybe she is sick or not feeling well? Perhaps an UTI.

We r having similar issues w/ DS who was in underwear for about 3 months before Christmas, and is now just soaked a lot of the time & poops in his pants 1/2 the time. We started PL last March when he started refusing to wear diapers.:banghead:
My ODS was trained by 2 years of age.

Checking in! Well I got DD some Blueberry trainers for overnight because I was tired of changing sheets at 3am. She's been in them for almost 2 weeks now, and she hasn't had one single accident overnight. I find it so weird. So apparently the nighttime dryness is back to normal for now. DD found a Barbie that she wants really bad, it sings songs from the Diamond Castle, her favorite movie. Anyway, I told her if she could keep her panties dry for 5 days that we would go get it for her as a reward. We are on day 3 and has only missed one day so far. The thought of getting that Barbie makes her at least listen to me when I tell her that she needs to go sit on the potty. So I think her problem has just been that she has accomplished using the potty, and has now moved on to bigger and better things, therefore she's no longer thinking about or as concerned with getting to the potty on time. I not as frustrated any longer and I have full confidence that she will grow out of it. In the mean time, I need more panties for her! :lostit: Good luck everone else that is facing this problem.
