I am just over 7wks pregnant and have contracted what I thought was a cold, but I am running a fever with it... It was 99.9 yesterday and i up to 100.9 now. I ahve been taking Tylenol every 6 hours, but it doesn't seem to be helping... advice???

You can do the Tylenol every 4 hrs. That's what my MW had me do this last week when I had the flu. Also, try to stay well hydrated. Dehydration and can worsen the fever and the fever can cause dehydration. My fever finally broke once I went to the ER and got IV fluids.

Okay I will try it every 4 hours... I am trying to stay well hydrated... if it isn't better by the AM I will talk to my OB (since I have an Apmt with her in the AM anyway)...

See your doc. I had this too, and it turned out to be a sinus infection, and the fever would have just gotten worse and worse...
Also, you can take a lukewarm bath to help get your fever down.

I have been battling a cold for a few days myself. My OB said when I saw her on Thursday that if my cold last longer than 7-10 days or I get a fever of 100.5 or more give her a call. HTH! :thumbsup:

Well it made it up to 101 yesterday, but seems to be going down now. I have an OB apmt in about an hour anyway, so I will talk to her about it then..
