I'd be the Baby Bear enabler the other day.

I'm wondering if Ali's hair is bugging her ears. She's messing with them, but I think it's more that her hair is now growing over them. Mom's of girls - did ya'll deal with this at all?

Our Pidpod + bed time buddy + WCW soaker (single layer) had compression leaks by this morning.

I need some super duper bullet proof wool!

No clue, obviously...Maybe you need some clippies from Brina

Did you see the link I posted last night for some SBish magic dipes on FSOT?

I was gonna use our WCW soaker...glad I went with my recycled wool now. Althought the wool was not that wet. The dipe held really well.

Morning all! I'm superrrrrrrrr tired this morning...couldnt fall asleep last night until after 1am :tired:.

Lots and lots to do today sense I really didnt do a darn thing yesterday except wash diapers :giggle:, hopefully I can get enough coffee in me to get it done pretty early!

Yeah, Ali will mess with her hair, and sometimes she acts like it makes her ears itch. It's just now lightly covering them, which I know would tickle mine. LOL. I just worry about ear infections, so it's worrying to see her messing with her ears.

Our double layer WCW does good. I think part of the problem lately is Ali has been nursing a lot at night with her teething. I did see the link. =) I need to talk to DH about spending some money and/or I need to FSOT somethings.

Freaky stuff. Have seen that before and can read it fine. Very Weird. Hope that means I'm quite smart and will pass my General Knowledge test tomorrow morning. I'm kinda nervous....it's a test I need to graduate and go on to USF and it's required for teaching certification.

I've got stuff on FSOT to help me buy those Sbish dipes. I'm determined to cut down our monthly expenses and I don't want to buy any more sposies for night.

But also Meagan...not to knock the B4's :hide:...compared to the GM's and PB&E I just don't think the soakers of the B4's are that thick and absorbant. They def feel thinner than the others IMO. After your PB&E's get washed a few times try those at night with the hemp stuffin as extra.

Morning everyone

I'm tired too, stayed up late reading and am dragging my butt today. At least my list will be short cause I got so much done yesterday. I just have to tidy, get some work done, and pack up to go to the gym later. I'm doing a step class with my sister and DH is taking AJ swimming, should be fun.

That's too bad the B4 didn't hold up Meagan. I do the same thing, fold the two bottom soakers up, and then I use a bamboo/zorb doubler that I also fold in half in the wet zone. I've never used PUL though, but fleece and wool hold up fine with it. AJ doesn't drink during the night though.

AF is here and I feel cruddy and lazy, I think I'm just going to chill until naptime.

WWYD? need advice quick. I got a mama just signed up here with 3 posts and no rating that pm'd me about my HH mouse print and asked if I had anything else for sale...little suspicious IMO...told her I didn't have anymore pockets but had some fitteds and wool. So she looked at my stuff and pm'd me back to ask how much for 2 of my longies and the dipe. Do you think that's a little fishy?

I'm so leary cause I sold to pamperedshell in that scam a few months back and it screwed up my pp for a couple days even thought I got my $ back. Alot of Moms didn't get their money back.

One dipe no biggie but almost $50 is a little harder to loose.

The diaper has a tear in the knit fabric right around a snap, I'm afraid that use will make the tear even bigger and then I won't be able to use it at all. Bleh, it's the camo too which is our favourite print. I'll take a pic in a bit to show you.

Didn't your doc give you a steroid ointment for his eczema? R has some and it works great.

Yes, but weve been managing it on his legs and face with the cetaphil so I saw no need to use the steroid. And I didnt want to use the steroid on his face or "privates". :dunno:

ok so the mama pm'd me back and said she didn't have feedback anywhere and didn't know you could scam anyone and that she never would and then asked how much for my shorties too and if I had anymore stuff...radar is going WOO WOO now so this is what I pm'd her back...

Yes, it could definitely be done and has been done a few times with plenty of mamas out money because of one person.

Sorry and it's not personal but I don't feel comfortable selling you so many items if you don't have feedback anywhere and haven't shared any personal info on here or introduced yourself in the introduction thread. Honestly, it very suspicious that you keep aksing if I have more and more. Other mamas on here will probably find it suspicious as well.

I'd be willing to sell you the diaper and if no issues arise from the transaction then I will sell you the other items. Does that sound fair? I have no trouble selling to new mamas on here but they are usually only buying one item at a time and just getting their feet wet, know what I mean? Just looking out for myself.

Thanks! Stacy

Should I let anyone know? I guess theres a chance she's on the up and up but this is classic scammer behavior. She has no avi or personal info on her profile and hasn't posted anywhere but FSOT threads.

Joe has started this new thing the past couple of weeks. When we discipline him, or go against what he wants he gets down on the floor and tucks his arms, legs, and head under him, like a turtle and just stays there pouting for a few. Im weird about giving my kids juice. I worry for their teeth. I either buy that motts for tots that has less sugar in it, or I water down their juice. For A, I fill her sippy cup 3/4 way with water then the rest with juice. She loves it, but she also loves water. I dont give her milk yet because she gets that from me :giggle:

Both of my older kids USE TO do this, now all they want to drink is milk. We have set a limit on how much milk they get though and make them drink juice and water the rest of the day. They get 3 glasses of milk each day, can have up to 2 glasses of juice (only buy 100%) and once they drink that they HAVE to have water. Z loves water in his sippy, and I tried to give him 1/4 motts for tots, the rest water and he wanted nothing to do with it. :dunno: As soon as I rinsed it out and gave him plain water he was fine... Katie, if it makes you feel better, I prefer patons. Now if only I could "get" knitting. :banghead:

My oldest used to be the milk king lol. I dont even know how much milk he used to go through in a day but it was a crazy amount!

I basically did what you did only backwards with my older 2 :giggle:. Until the older 2 were probably around 4 and 5 all they pretty much drank was juice and milk...now they can have 1 juice a day (which they usually have with there lunch at school) and they usually only have one cup of milk a day (with breakfast) other than that they drink water.

Ok the break down of drinks for the kids in my house: No soda allowed, and when dad sneaks it to them I insist he waters it down. (Im weird) They can have as much water as they want, my kids LOVE water. They get milk in cereal and 2 or 3 glasses of milk a day but dont usually want milk. My kids really just mainly drink water. This is like my DH's family too. DH HATES giving them junk and pop and stuff because that's how he grew up and for years fought to stay thin and his whole family is over weight. We do let them have pop if we go to a restaurant, but only one glass and no more than twice a week. We don't buy junk food, so they eat crackers and cheese, fruit and pretzels for snakes. They do get to each pick a box of fruit snakes at the store, but only get one pack a day, and not 2 days in a row. You're not nuts, if you are, so are we. My kids like veggies, and LOVE fruit, they eat whatever I cook for dinner and don't like having chicken nuggets and burgers that often.

:neener: Rich people! :neener:

:giggle2: kidding.

Yeah really :giggle:

yes, but you have to bring your own helmet! :giggle2:

Gottcha

Wow Katie!! How long have you been knitting? I thought you started when I did and you are so beyond where I'm at...I just did short rows for the first time last night. I wrapped the stitches ok but don't think I unwrapped the right way but it doesn't look awful :giggle2:. I'm knitting Riley some shorties.

This is my second pair of longies, before that I knit 2 baby hats, so not long at all.

so NOT rich. God knows the government is so generously paying the military

Yeah really! What I don't get is why they take taxes out of our pay, just so we can pay ourselves? :headscratch: It's so stupid.

Yea, seriously. How are you guys picking up the knitting so easily? I have such a hard time figuring it out. I bought the circle needles, have yarn around, but cant figure out what to do when I finish one row. where the heck do you go after that? :banghead:

Once you join your circle you just knit around and around. Make sure you put a stitch marker, cause once you get 2 or 3 rounds done you won't know where the beginning and end are.

They were tiny little critters, dh found the nest in a car he was working on and mommy squirrel got stuck in the motor and died. the owner brought the car in for a smell coming from under the hood.

They were fed every 2 hours round the clock for 12 weeks, and then introduced nuts, fruits, then weaned them! It was fun, but :tired:

Huge multi-quote as I'm playing catch up!

Beautiful longies Katie, love the heart.

Cute pics everyone, Ali has the best expressions Brandie!

To-Do List: (revised as my class at the gym was cancelled)
[-]make bed[/-]
shower & get dressed
[-]work while AJ naps[/-]
45 minutes on treadmill once DH is home
pack up diaper that sold
go to PO and mail diaper
make dinner - pasta with sausage and spinach

I don't like to use it in those areas too but will mix a little with the cetaphil if it's bad and needs it.

ok so the mama pm'd me back and said she didn't have feedback anywhere and didn't know you could scam anyone and that she never would and then asked how much for my shorties too and if I had anymore stuff...radar is going WOO WOO now so this is what I pm'd her back...

I think that's a great PM, very honest and open. I would just make sure to save everything between you guys. Good luck!

That is awesome, he'll love it!

I miss the days when it wasn't a fight to get them to drink water :(

This is what we do. AJ gets milk when he gets up, before nap and before bed. All the rest of the time he gets water. Juice he will drink but only gets it sometimes, like at resturants or when we're at someone elses house.

On top of that I'm using black for the first time :nervous: It's resting right now and needs to go back in the microwave again in a minute. :nervous: we'll see I guess.

Ahhh, me too! I usually buy the books and then don't read them until I have the whole series. What are you reading? I need ideas, just finished Twilight . . .

It's the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon....the last one came out fall of 07, the next wont be out until this coming fall. I've read all 6 books at least 2 or 3 times now :giggle: (each book is at least 1,000 pages except the first but even that one is 900 I think?) and I'm impatiently awaiting the new one to come out.

I read the Twilight series in 5 days total I think? Six if you include the 1/2 book that you can only find online lol.

I'm working on finally finishing the Harry Potter series.

Alison is now ticked with me because I didn't let her keep pushing buttons on my computer tower and trying to stick her finger in the disk drive slot.

Ok, back from a playdate and running to Hobby Lobby to grab another 1/2 yard of fabric to finish the blanket I'm making for Trey.

Here's pics of how we spent our weekend...

We took this:

And turned it into this:

So yeah... that's been an exciting adventure!! T slept in his brand new room for the first time over the weekend. He was pretty excited. Then, his first morning in there, I crawled into his bed to wake him up. I looked up at the freshly painted wall, and there was something stuck. I tried to get it off, and it wouldn't budge. I asked Trey about it. "Oh, that's a booger, Momma!" <sigh> I almost hit the ceiling. We've had several more discussions since then about where the proper place for boogers is. Gotta love being a mom somedays...

Ok, and a pic of what I've been knitting lately--the sweater that just won't end!! As of now, the sweater is between 25 and 30 inches long from the skirt up. I will start the sleeves at 35 inches or so. It will be a long sweater jacket for me. (I took these pics with my phone, so the color is a little off, but it is actually a kind of red wine color, very rich, knitting with Lion brand Jiffy acrylic yarn.)

When I get it done, I'll be working on prolly a soaker, then some shorties or longies for the new baby.

Now to try to tackle a few things around here for the day. Fun times...

Oh wow, that's weird. She is one of my favourite authors and I've been reading that series since I was 14! There were only 4 books out then, I have all of them (including the companion book) but my SIL "borrowed" them and I suspect I'll never get them back and will have to buy them again. Have you read the Earth's Children series by Jean Auel? That's another favourite and you'd probably like them too.

I'm working on finally finishing the Harry Potter series.

Alison is now ticked with me because I didn't let her keep pushing buttons on my computer tower and trying to stick her finger in the disk drive slot.

The computer is a big hit here too, AJ keeps doing things to it, like all of the sudden certain keys won't work, or he rotates the desktop. :giggle:

Great job Tammy, and not a week goes by around here that I don't find at least one booger stuck to a wall somewhere :yuck:. We have had long discussions, dulled out punishments and everything, but since I never actually see them do it, I can't be sure which one put which booger where and have a hard time stopping it. One day they tried blaming it on Daddy :headscratch: Now first off Daddy was out of town and secondly Daddy would have to get down on his knees to put a booger at that level on the wall. Do they think I'm just that stupid.

Really cute stash, Tara!!

Katie, that is hilarious!! T's the only kiddo around here, so he can't exactly blame anyone else. He hasn't thought of trying to blame Momma or Dada, though. Gotta love the ingenuity! So do you have any good solutions for booger removal that won't pull off the paint? LOL

I have tried just wiping with water, water and soap, magic erasers... while the magic erasers do work, with a bit of elbow grease (and it tears up your eraser) it does leave a lighter spot on the wall. In all honesty the thing that I have found works the best is using my finger nail and picking at it until it comes off :yuck: :puke:, than just wiping that spot on the wall with a rag, and of course washing your hands in scalding water.

Thanks, btw... I made those for him, and the blanket I'm working on has some of the same fabric in it, to tie everything together. I really need to see if I can finish that this week. :)
