I am sitting here in my living room, exhausted, but up with a possible gallbladder attack...used to get them after DS was born and then it stopped happening....apparently its back... *sigh*
I will sleep someday, right? Cause not sleeping is a great way to feel better from my cold :yuck:
At least I got my wake up to cooperate with the DD that woke up a few mins ago to eat...

Awww, I'm so sorry to hear you're feeling so lousy, Shannon. Hope it gets better and maybe you can squeeze in a nap today!!
DD has been waking up early a lot this week, which means for a horribly crabby baby until her first nap. Well, this morning I just decided to put her down for a nap early (at 8:20) instead of fighting it until the usual time of 10. She's out like a light already, but we'll see what it does to our schedule for the day. I think I might go lay down and take a nap too :)
I'm hoping for some more mild weather today so we can go for a walk again. And this weekend I'll be driving home to MA to visit my parents for a week or two. It's an 8 hour drive with just me and DD, so I'm a little nervous, but it should be fine. We're stopping part way in NJ to visit a friend and her new baby for a few hours. I'm debating bringing cloth to use on the trip (my mom's a huge supporter), but I'm nervous about doing it without a sprayer. Does anyone else deal with solids and no sprayer? What do you do?

good morning ladies :)
i'm sorry to hear your not feeling well shannon. i was sick the past two days with aches and chills. what a lousy feeling. today i still have a soar throat but no aches. i have been keeping up with the advil/tylenol so hopefully it will keep the pain at bay.
alaina - i know a trip without cloth may be easier but if you mom is a big supporter it might be nice to bring them along and show her what its all about. i cleaned the diapers without a sprayer for a long time before i got one. it involves extra swooshing but i think you can handle it :giggle2:

Some may find this gross but I dont use a sprayer...if there is something particularly sticky and I can't get it off I rinse it in the bathroom sink then wipe it down afterwards...I mean when you think about it dirty hands that are washed in there have the same thing that dirty diapers do....plus it makes me have to keep my sink clean...

Morning mamas! It is supposed to be pretty here again today so I'm going to try to get all my housework and sewing done this morning so we can go out this afternoon. Anyone have any new crockpot chicken recipes that they haven't shared? I have chicken but don't know what to do with it.
Shannon & Jess- Sorry your sick! Feel better soon. :hugs:
Alaina- We've never had a sprayer and we just dunk and swoosh. Not a big deal for us! We usually take our cloth on vacation too without a problem.

i loooove this recipe
smothered buttermilk chicken with peas over biscuits
- 1lb boneless skinless chix tenderloins cut into 3/4-inch pieces
- 3 med carrots (i used 5)
- 1/2 cup chopped onion (use the food processor so its nice and small - the onion makes this meal nice and sweet)
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 1, 12oz jar chix gravy
- 1 cup frozen sweet peas
- 1 can pillsbury grand biscuits
in slow cooker, combine, chix, carrots, onion, water, butter, salt, pepper and bay leaf; mix well.
cover; cook on low setting 6 to 8hrs (i cooked it for 7)
about 20 min before serving, stir gravy mix and peas into chix mixture. remove bay leaf. mix well. increase heat setting to high; cover and cook an additional 10 to 15 min or until peas are cooked.
meanwhile, bake biscuits. serve chix mixture over biscuits (or in my case i made some nice homemade mashed potatoes and served the biscuits on the side)
ok so the recipe is for buttermilk chicken and i substituted making the buttermilk and used a can of chix gravy instead :giggle2:

Jess--I hope you're feeling better soon, too.
:hugs: to you both.
Heading out to the grocery store in a few. I dread it. However, C usually has a good time checking everything out from the shopping cart. :giggle:
You all talking about dinner made me realize I have no idea what to make. I hope something comes to me when I'm in the store. I'll probably just get a roast of some sort to throw in the beloved crock pot. I can't wait to see other crock pot recipes. I need more to add to my arsenal of menu items.
I am making a big tray of baked ziti w/meatballs and sausage for the guy who drives DH to work. He got married in early December and his wife has been in the hospital since their honeymoon. She's been in and out of an induced coma and they are talking about long-term care for her next. It's so sad, and she's not even 30 years old. So, we thought it would be nice to cook something up for the guy since he spends every night after work by her bed in the hospital.
Anyway...off to finish breakfast and get out to the store.

I think I am making this for dinner: I wanted to put apple juice in it too but I don't have any...
Crockpot Pork Tenderloin with Apples
1 package pork tenderloin, about 1 1/2 to 2 pounds
1 large (or 2 small) Granny Smith apple, chopped
1/4 cup applesauce (regular or cinnamon style)
1 bunch green onions with about 3 inches of green tops, slice thinly
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon cider vinegar (or balsamic vinegar)
Preparation:
Trim excess fat from the pork.
Place whole tenderloin in the crock pot with the remaining ingredients, mixing to combine.
Cover and cook on low for 7 to 9 hours or high for 4 hours

Big big hugs to all of you mamas who are not feeling well.
When we go see the family for the weekend, we usually use sposies. In terms of functioning without a sprayer, another option is those disposable liners. They're super cheap, biodegradable and make poopie changes *very* easy.
Getting ready for another play date. Making blueberry banana bread and brewing some coffee for the mamas. Hopefully we'll have some time to enjoy it. My DD and the kid who is coming are very... um... rambunctious together, so I hope it goes well!

Oh, I forgot to add about the sprayer...I don't have one. I use fleece liners in all diapers and the majority of the poo rolls right off when I shake. Now the poo here is totally solid, but when C was younger and it was more messy, I would swish extra to get the stickies off. Again, most of it was on the fleece liner, and they wash soooo easily.

Morning. :) I got my MCZ in the mail yesterday (woo hoo for fast shipping), but D didn't need a diaper change until later so i just threw it in the wash with the rest of the diapers. The print is nifty, I really like it now... i didn't like it before and then it kind of grew on me until i was like, okay, i need one of these now. I still swear i'm going to list a couple diapers, i just need to get off my lazy butt and take pictures and get them up.
Last night was... eh. D fought going to sleep for quite a while... finally conked out around 8? 8:30? And I went to bed at 9:30, so when he woke up at 12:30 to eat i actually had a few hours of sleep under my belt. Which made it much more tolerable when he woke up at 2:30, and then 3:30 and decided it was party time. He was probably up for a little while before then... just being fairly quiet. So i nursed him and Rob put him in his crib and came back to bed... we dozed on and off for about an hour (he was being so quiet! I couldn't believe it!) and then he started to throw a fit because oh yeah, it's the middle of the night and i'm tired. So he finally went back down at about 5, and then slept until 7:30. So at least i got two longer stretches of sleep and i don't feel too bad this morning.
Alaina, two words: Poo liners. I like the imse vimse ones. It'll catch 95-100% of the poo, and you can just flush them away. I wash the pee ones with the diapers and reuse them a few times, too.

GOOD "DRY" MORNING!!!
I am in  with my TIAN!!! Mia slept ALL night woke up pretty wet, but NOT drippy! I think once they are washed a few times they will absorb more! The fit is great too! I REALLY Like them! I am gonna get 2 more!
I'll be here off and on today we are gonna go file our taxes and then go look at furniture, and THANKS for the reciepe that sounds So yummy I am gonna get the stuff for it tonight to have tomorrow!
:bighug: to all the sick mommas and babies! FEEL Better VERY Soon!
We dont have a sprayer Mia has fairly solid poop now so it usually just plops off in the toilet, but when it is a sticky poop I just pull the shower head down and spray it like a mad women... If it is STILL really bad I soak it in my "wet" pail down in the basement until wash day and I change the water every day (I am paronoid about stains). other wise we just put it in the Hanging Pail.
Travel with CDs: We have gone as far as camping with our CDs... And at the time I was still fairly new in the CD world and Just had a Clear Garbage bag that I put all the diapers in, and left them in the bed of my dads truck with a small tarpe over them... Worked great for the time, now THIS year Mia will most likely PL but I plan on Just bringing my hanging pail from Goodmama with us, and ALL my diapers that I will need as there isn't a washer or dryer... When we visit family up north there is a washer and dryer but they have REALLy weird water and so I wouldn't trust it with my diapers so I will bring almost all of my stash cause we stay for a week and I have atleast half a weeks worth of diapers now and I will I'm sure have more by then lol! But like I said DD is proboly going to PL this summer So I don't need as many diapers to travel if this happens!

Morning girlfriends!!!!! Get well hugs all the way around to everyone. Ds and I had a rough night with the night weaning. He cried from 12-2 am but I was strong and just comforted him without nursing him. Then dd 2 woke up at 5 am puking. She's now asleep on the couch with a bad cough, vomitting, fever, sore throat and swollen glands. Not fun. My g/f is going to wach her in a bit so that I can run my dog to the vet... after 2 other cancellations... to get her shots and stuff. I'm also going to get my dh's box dropped off to the postoffice. Then Lina will be home from school and I'll send her to the closest houses to drop off girl scout cookies. Mmmmmmm! I went through 1/2 a box of lemon chalet cremes last night while house hunting.
Speaking of house hunting... anyone want to help me look for rental properties in Rincon, Pooler, or Guyton GA? Rent around $1000-$1200/month. I'm having a crap time finding some. Dh wants to buy but I say wait until next year when our credit is better. Two big negative things come off of it this summer and that will help us a lot!

I did change every 2 rows. I started to just pull the yarn up instead of cutting, but I did end up frogging because it was leaving a big ol' bump of a seam. IDK.
How do you do increases/decreases to change the pooling? I'm going to PM you a pic of the ones I'm finishing up. I don't want to post them here because they are uglier than ugly.

in slow cooker, combine, chix, carrots, onion, water, butter, salt, pepper and bay leaf; mix well.
cover; cook on low setting 6 to 8hrs (i cooked it for 7)
about 20 min before serving, stir gravy mix and peas into chix mixture. remove bay leaf. mix well. increase heat setting to high; cover and cook an additional 10 to 15 min or until peas are cooked.

Oh, Shannon---SS you were up at 4am posting to the thread! I hope you're feeling better soon.
BBL.
How sad about that guy and his wife. If you don't mind me asking, what happened to his wife? And that baked ziti sounds great!
Yummy! I don't if dh would like it though. He's too picky. Grrrrrr.
Glad you got a little uninterrupted sleep last night. Even if it was only a few hours.
Morning mamas. It was a rough night with Juliana. She didn't sleep much with her cough and stuffy nose. I called the ped and waiting for a call back. The nurse sounded concerned because it's rsv season. So I have a feeling the ped it going to want to see her.
I hope everyone starts feeling better soon. :hugs: I know I'm tired of dealing with the sickies. It seems like someone always has something around here.
My beco is shipping today. :yay:
We're having chicken fettuccine alfredo for dinner tonight.
I haven't traveled with cloth yet. We used sposies. :hide:
Hope your LO is ok!
Sorry you had a bad night last night and your dd is sick. No fun! You don't by chance have any leftover gs cookies you want to sell do you?:giggle2: I'll look for houses for you later when I can sit still. :giggle:
So I just got done scrubbing the master bath. Looks so shiny and pretty, for now anyway. Off to fix the boys lunch!:goodvibes:

Jordan--the doctors aren't really sure what's going on with the wife. At first they thought that was bitten by some sort of bug when they were on their honeymoon which would affect her nervous system. (now I can't remember for the life of me where they went for the h-moon.) She woke up at 3am one morning, went out on the balcony, and her hubby found her out there talking like she was 3yo, and then she had a grand mal seizure. The resort rushed her to the hospital there, they flew them back home ASAP. Now they think it may be some sort of rare brain disorder that just emerged. She's in one of the top hospitals in the country now, but they can't figure it out. Due to insurance, they are thinking that they have no choice but to move her to a nursing home type setting soon, which is so frustrating because she obviously won't be able to have the same doctors who can continue to research.
She has no idea who anyone is..including her family & DH. :(

Sorry to all the sick mommies and babies. I hope today gets better for you all.
Megan - I had the original NRSS. The rise was too shor for us. I saw a lot of baby crack. I know she has worked hard to improve them though. They were also bulkier than my bsrbs and more expensive. I figured no point in trying yet another diaper. Someone with the new ones will have to give a thorough review.
Di - Thanks for thinking of me. WE had a busy day yesterday. It was a nice hike. I carried big ole Blake in my Ergo the entire way. John carried LJ in the kelty. We didn't see any whales but we did last year on the same hike. Today my butt is killing me. It isn't used to hiking with 24 lbs hanging from the front.

Yeah, I didn't really want to tell the story about co-worker's wife because I didn't want to be a downer on the thread. Sorry.
I actually worked with DH (and obviously the hubby, too) before I became a SAHM, so I know the guy pretty well and have met the wife a few times. She's really sweet, and I just feel bad. He was married before, and was the big D within 6 months of the marriage because the wife cheated. This was about 7 years ago....the poor guy just can't catch a break.
Anyway...,,
So...Megs, I have a question for you. I was just browsing around and noticed there's a new Sbish thread. I've been :drif: over the Sbish covers (especially double-layer..I know Sara and I were chatting about this one day last week) but I just can't bring myself to the $40 cost. I really don't want to try the diapers just because I try to stay away from serging. You probably shouldn't, but go ahead...tell me about Sbish wool.
Your boy stash on FSOT is gorgeous, BTW.

Again, Jenn inspired me to sell the TFs. People want to buy specific ones and I think I might have a taker for the lot. They are sunning right now. I just realized I have enough UFs that I don't need the TFs, especially with the move. Who am I to deny others the bsrb love?
Di - You should pop into the Sbish thread and ask their opinion. I only had the one double layer soaker. It was bulletproof. I am just not a soaker fan in general. Although, now I am thinking some would be handy to have for night time. I love the new colors. I have heard that Sbish is the best interlock. I can't say on personal experience because I haven't tried others. I know that John would love for me to sell off all of my knit and buy all interlock. It is more practical for many reasons. You have to try it.

I'm so glad your hike was fun yesterday. Sorry you didn't see any whales, and wow...Blake is a big boy. I already know that wearing C in the ergo isn't going to be as easy as it was in early fall when I used it all of the time. The extra weight is really going to make a difference.

I've been happy with the sbish soaker i got from Megan. :) It hasn't been put to the test really hardcore but it works great overnight, no dampness on the outside. The woolybottom one i have that's recycled wool was damp to the touch after one night, so i hadn't used it overnight since, just during the day. It's so thick and nice i want another one so i can switch off nights.

:giggle: C started scaling the walls, too. She also likes to push EVERYTHING. She'll push her baby in the little stroller over to her activity table...pushes that across the room to the laundry basket...then pushes that across the room...then ends up at the wall scaling to the next thing. Funny stuff.

Ha, until D figured out how to sit back down he's SCREAM to get your attention so you could sit him back on his butt. He learned how to lower himself after a week or so, and now he just plunks down on his butt. Silly boy. That first time we found him standing in the crib was funny though...
I have never had a sprayer. I just scrape however much poo off as I can with some tp and then flush it, and then if it still needs further cleaning, I rinse by hand in the sink. It gets them really poo free and I would not want to waste $40 on a sprayer just to find out that it does no better of a job than hand rinsing. I am not a germaphobe at all, so touching the poo doesn't bother me one bit.

Oh Diana, that is so sad!!! I will be thinking of them. I hope they can somehow determine what is wrong with the wife and find a way to bring her out of the coma :(
Why do I want to wean my baby girl so badly?! I made it to 14 months with DS...she deserves at least that much... *pout*
There's nothing wrong with wanting to wean even though you know that continuing to nurse is what's best. I felt that way about Juliana a lot in the fall and I just tried to tell myself to keep going for a bit longer. Now that I look back at how I felt then, the time seemed to go by so fast!
ok. so my 8 month old just learned how to stand in her crib and is not napping! lol.
When Juliana learned how to stand in her crib she couldn't lay back down so we had a hellish couple of weeks of her always standing up in there and then screaming. Ugh. I hope that's not what you're going to go through :)
I am here!! I went to the mall early this morning with my best friend and between shopping and the kids playing on the play area, we somehow spent 5 hours there! Now both kids are napping upstairs and mommy is taking a well deserved breather.
We are having fruit salad for supper because daddy is working late. I love easy nights like this! Everyone's crock pot recipes sound delicious though :drif: I might have to add some to my menu this week :)

I am SOOO jealous!! My DH is ready to try at any time but it's me who (grudgingly) wants to wait. We are going to HI in April and I refuse to be pregnant for that vacation but a couple of our friends are also getting married in Mexico in November, and I would prefer to be not pregnant for that too. The final reason why waiting makes more sense is because one of DH's best friends is getting married in May 2010 and DH is the best man. We would both prefer if I was not due any time around then because if I'm really pregnant at the time of the wedding there is always the chance that I could go into labor while we're an hour away at their wedding (or else be too uncomfortable to go) and if I have a newborn at the time of the wedding I would not be able to go. Right now the plan is to wait until after the wedding in Mexico to TTC which would put us most likely getting pregnant in Dec, but if my baby fever gets really bad I might consider TTC in Sept or Oct. Either way, my IUD is coming out next month and I can't WAIT!
Anyway, I really hope you get pregnant right away. I'll be thinking of you guys!

Oh AND . . .
I totally hear you Chasity about wanting to keep it more low key this time around. Both times I've been pregnant I've shared about it right away and let every little thing (the gender, the names, how I was feeling) be public knowledge. Not next time. I am certainly NOT going to tell anyone that we're trying (whenever we start) and I'm going to try really hard to keep the news between me and DH (and you all) until the second trimester when we do get pregnant. I'm also not finding out the gender next time so everyone else is just going to have to "suffer" not knowing as MIL put it (whatever). I will also not be sharing any names. I want to cherish the experience of what will be my last pregnancy, and I will better be able to do that if it's just me and DH going through it together, ALONE.
We told MIL she could be in the room when Juliana was born if she could be up here, but because we had no way of knowing when I'd go into labor and they were living in FL last time, she couldn't be here. I hope she's not going to think that she can be in the room for the next delivery now that they are living up here because honestly, for my last ever childbirth experience DH is lucky that I'm willing to have him in the room. Certainly NO ONE BUT HIM is going to be allowed in there.

Jenn--What you described above is pretty much to the "T" of what DH and I did (with the exception of beer-chat about names.) We didn't tell our families until I was 16-17 weeks. I didn't tell work until that point, either. For one thing, it made the pregnancy go that much faster. I had to tell my yoga instructors pretty much when I got the BFP so I could modify, but that was it. My parents live in FL, so it was easier to hide it from them than ILs who live 3 blocks away.
Even when I went into labor.....I was in early labor (but didn't know) at work, and got sent to L&D to be monitored. Was sent home, and hard labor started around 1am. We went to the hospital at 4am. DH was beside himself wanting to call everyone on the planet, but I told him not to. I just hung out in the nice dark and quiet room until 9:30 when the nurse came in to have me start pushing. It was so relaxing. I...MYSELF...called my parents 10 minutes after C was born to tell them, and DH called the rest of his family to share the news. (However, our friends across the street are early risers, so the husband called DH at 9am when he didn't see the car in the driveway at 6am when he got up. :giggle: )
We didn't find out the gender, either...I would do it the same way again. It was fabulous, and it was something that DH and I got to share without everyone else butting in. My friends were annoyed that we didn't find out the gender, but they got over it.
IMO, it's your pregnancy, so each mama has the right to do it the way they want. No one else is carrying the baby around for 9 months.

It's interesting hearing about you all planning to TTC the next one. I am not there yet. Like really not there yet. I thought I was when DD2 was sleeping in 5 hour chunks at night. I was like "yeah, I can totally do this again". But now she's teething, wanting boobies every 2 - 3 hours at night and I AM TIRED! So no, I am not on the TTC tip yet. Maybe one day...

Annette . . . for a mama who was totally rearin and ready to go again when my first was just 6 months old, I am taking BABY steps this time. Both of my kids are sleeping through the night every night and Juliana is weaned. I also firmly believe that by the time I want to TTC, both kids will be potty trained. I had a 15 month age gap the first time and this time I'm shooting for no less than 30 months between Juliana and the next baby.

Sooo . . .
Now that weaning is a firm reality and my milk seems to be dried up, my boobs are smaller than they've ever been  I started out pre-kids at 34D. my boobs always shoot up to E during early breastfeeding, and then they started shrinking as my oversupply abated. I was fitting great in size 34D again by the end of BFing Juliana. Now that my milk is starting to dry up, my bras are starting to fit too loose. I'm wanting to get some new ones but I don't know how long to wait (to make sure my boobs are done shrinking). I was great in a 36C after my milk dried up from Howie but even that bra is fitting loosely now. I am thinking I would like to try the Playtex nearly C, but I don't want to waste a ton of money on bras that might not fit for very long.
At least my VS bikini tops are starting to fit :giggle:

I REALLY want to keep this between Me and DF for as Long as we can... I'd love to see a pic of your dipe if you have one.
That is so cute! How many bsrb do you have?
Okay Ladies I just have to bust-in and shake things up...
DF is ready to have another baby!!!! I AM SOOOOOOOO EXCITED :bliss: I have been ready for a couple of months and have ever so gently bringing it up... And today he said he would like to try!! SO... I am gonna call the OB to have my Mirena out this month and if we get preggo by marchish we could have a baby this year!! I am SO excited... but shhh You guys are the only ones I can tell/talk about it with cause we are gonna surprise our families... lol! We told too much with Mia and I want this to be more about OUR family and not about everyone else like my pregnancy was about Mia... So please Beware, I will proboly come to ya'll for someone to talk about it with!
:giggle:
:lostit: How exciting!
:bliss:
So your IUD is coming out next month? I beat you'll be preggo by April as excited as you and already starting that nb stash.:giggle2:
Hey, ladies. Popping in to say hello. Asher has an ear infection and is running a temp of 102. Poor baby.
We got our BSRB's yesterday, too! Yay! I'm washing them tonight to prep. DH says the white with stripes is too girly, so I'm holding off on washing it - I may sell or trade, although I don't want to part with it. Since I'm putting a cover over it anyway, who cares?
Oh no! I hope he feels better! And I want to see some pics of those twins in bsrb!

You know, I very well might be a 32 now. That will be something to try. I am definitely not a DD. My cup size is probably a C (the underwire on a C cup bra fits around my boob perfectly), but I just don't have enough boob mass to fill the whole cup. So maybe a 32 C is what I need to try. The kids ARE going to daycare tomorrow, so I'll have plenty of time to look (and try on).
My best friend really struggles A LOT. She never went back down to pre-preg size after having her first, so when her milk came in this past time she was barely able to walk. She needed 32DDD and had to actually enlist someone to make her 2 bras because she couldn't find them. I think she is back down to a DD now that her second baby is weaned, but it's still a struggle. I'm not envious :)

Ok . . . if I get pregnant any time AFTER my trip to Hawaii . . . I guess I'll take it :giggle: But that is not the plan, and we are going to be actively preventing with condoms after the IUD comes out. DH agreed to it because we both think the hormones from the IUD are messing with my sex drive. NO fun.
And in my defense Di, I'm talking about my D and C cups of the past, that I no longer have :( However . . . I wouldn't mind going all the way down to a B. I was never really able to nurse in public discreetly (I did it indiscreetly :giggle2:) because of having to support Juliana with one hand and my boob with the other hand. I am really, really gearing up my own summer wardrobe as well. Everything I have for summer is very old and/or ill fitting because most of it is from pre-kids. I was pregnant all summer in 06, pregnant all summer in 07, and not caring about how I looked AT ALL all summer in 08. I also had the struggle of leaking boobs (yes, still) and needing easy access to them, so I just wanted to wear plain stuff that was easy. Now that I am back to caring about how I look and am only taking out my boobs in the bedroom :giggle: I have realized how badly I need some new clothes! So I have been seeking cute tank tops and short sleeve tees that don't scream MOM!!!! when I'm kid-free but also are practical enough be worn when I do have the kids. Honestly, I'm having luck.
Ok, Juliana is up now so I have to go!

Yeah, I have the Mirena too. I think it's called an IUC because in addition to being the device that goes into your uterus, it also emits the hormones where a copper IUD does not do any hormones. I think I just need to stay away from hormonal birth control. I have always thought I had a low libido but now that I think about it, I have never had sex without being on hormonal birth control. Before doing it for the first time I got on the pill and took it for 3 months. So . . . maybe when I stop using any birth control and I'm not pregnant and I'm not nursing . . . I will want to throw DH down and do him all the time :giggle2:
That BITES about only being skirts . . . sort of silly if you ask me.
So . . . I now have 2 DCs of pink chicks on the way to me (yeah, when it rains it pours!) and I'm thinking about seeing if Joyce will make me a UF out of one and a skirty out of the other one :giggle: Do you think 20x20 is enough material for a size L skirty?

Plus I think I am gonna have to go to the Health Dept. :yuck: to have it done cause I don't have insurance... Gonna call OB tomorrow and see how much it costs through him cause I would MUCH rather he did it than some doc. I have never seen before ya know! ok so just catching up on the posts since my last visit..
jenn i cannot sympathize with you on the boobies. i have itty bitties and even when my milk comes in they only go to like a B cup and then very quickly back down to an A. and when i stopped nursing ryder i was like holy moly my itty bitties are even itty bittier. DH won't let me get a boob job though..but I told him after i was done having kids he wont be able to stop me. haha. it's not even like i want big boobs..just a nice full B.
all this talk about ttc'ing! well chasity i hope it is a short ttc journey for you. I would love to ttc again after Roan is atleast 1 and DH would be on board with that if we weren't in such a bad financial sitch. When Annie mentioned earlier about finding a rental for 1000-1200/mo I was like i'd never be able to find that around here! We pay 2100/mo for rent here and it's not even a whole house. plus it doens't include oil, electric, or water! I wish we lived someplace where the cost of living wasn't so ridiculously inflated. *pft* ok end my pity party.
oh and rainbow waters does interlock skirties. attached and detached. and i think the crunchy-cooperative is still open for fills and last i checked there was still 8spots for circle skirts and 2 wool pieces. the skirties range from $28-32 depending on size. hope that helps.

I'll have to take a pic of her pushing her little doll in her pink stroller. It's so cute...the doll is wearing the Paton's capris (longies on the doll) too. It's cute.
Every time I take C out, I have to make sure she has a bow in her hair...other than that, I don't get overly girly with her most days. When she starts walking, it's skirts all the way.
Awwwwww. I want to see a pic!
Sometimes while nursing Blake I pull his hair to the side and picture it in a pretty little bow. he he. I love having boys though. There hasn't been a girl on John's side of the family for over 50 years.
I do that too with Carter's hair. And I love your avi. I need a bsrb in that print.

April--ss about the pharmacy. How frustrating!!
Jenn--What a great idea about the fabric for matching dipe/skirty. I have no idea if 20x20 is enough for a skirty...I just sold a DC that size and didn't look like it would be enough, but what do I know.
Oh, that totally stinks about BootyGold not having the soakers. I just looked again and saw that they have to be purchased separately. I don't mind the idea of having a separate skirt and soaker, so they don't have to be worn together, but still.
Emailed ya back mama
I used to make my skirties as one piece...fabric attached to the soaker. But I found that it was better for folks to have them as separate pieces. If its one piece, then you have to change the entire thing at a diaper change, kwim? If the skirty is a separate piece, then you can wear the skirty all day and just change out the soaker underneath
I can definitely do them as one piece if you prefer though!

Getting one taken out is supposed to be much easier than having it put in even. Unfortunately, I was one of the rare cases and had a totally botched Mirena insertion...went through my uterus and was one of the most painful days of my life (up there with childbirth). So, needless to say, it was taken out the very same day it was put in and that part hurt much less.

Wow, right from the mouth. That's CS.
Werd.
I guess I never thought about the utility of having the soaker and skirty separate, but she's right. On a heavy wetter like Howie I would have to change the soaker at each change (and actually, they were good for one use only on him) but for J, I can get away with leaving the same soaker on and just changing the dipe. I know that's not the case for most mamas though so I can totally see the point of having them be separate pieces.
I start off hating nights when DH has to work late, but around this time when dinner is in the kids, they're wearing their PJs and actually, J is already in bed, I'm loving it! I love having the house to myself and just doing whatever I want. But . . . I'm probably going to buy some stuff

hey were the same size thats a hard bra to find cuz all the D's are like 38's and up:giggle2:
and on my super skinny days a 34C
Sooo . .

Welcome Amy! I feel your pain on the pooping, night before last D pooped in his shortly after it went on... which was a problem because he was supposed to wear it all night! D'OH!
I'm a card-carrying member of the itty bitty titty club. I got fitted for a nursing bra when i was 8 months pregnant, and PREGNANT i was only just an A cup. The gal looked at me like i was some sort of freak show (thanks). I ended up getting something in a B or C, i can't remember. I wear a B now, though i think i was more like a C in the early nursing days before my supply settled down. The last nursing bra i got was a 36B and it fits pretty well. But you only need to look at my munchkin to see that size doesn't matter... he put on 2oz a day steadily until he was about 6 months old. My only problem with nursing in public is that i feel like i have to hike my shirt up a half mile to nurse him. But most people can't even tell i'm nursing him until they're right on top of me... giant-headed baby hides the boob very well when he's on task and not looking around.

I AM FEELING THE EXACT SAME THING!!! I am seriously gonna try and get it out tonight!!!! If I can't then I will wait a couple days and try again then If I can't then I will schedule to have it done by my OB...
JORDAN: I haven't been able to find them, But DF said he does every time we have sex... So If I can't get them I should be able too!
Hi Maya
First time ever in a chat thread, lol. I just got my first BSRB yesterday. Put on DS tonight and he pooped in it seriously 5 mins later :roflmbo:

Ha ha ha... i feel like a cow sometimes... they look big but seriously, measure them and it's like, "I've been robbed!" I have cleavage for the first time in my life. I used to run around without a bra all the time, now i have to hold 'em down when i run up and down the stairs. It's amazing. I don't know how you bigger gals do it, I had to buy the toughest sports bra i could find because doing DDR was killing the girls.

Look at this picture (http://zerogeek.net/dblog/wp-photos/20090131-153302-1.jpg), that's a much more realistic shot of them where i'm not leaning forward and squeezing them towards the camera. :) Here's an old shot of me pre-preg... flat as a pancake (http://zerogeek.net/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=5551). Thanks everyone :goodvibes:
DS pooped on the potty the other day, and then he peed on the potty at DC today...I'm starting to panic a little.
COULD IT BE TIME TO PL????? :beafraid: What will I do with myself when I don't have diapers to buy anymore
I guess we'll just have to make another one, then I can buy NEWBORN fluff :lostit: :roflmbo:
I don't even know what I'll do when Juliana PLs. Seriously . . . I think I will have to resort to still buying woolies for her to trick myself into thinking she's got CDs under there
Soooo . . . I got Howie to bed, ate my buffalo chicken calzone (yeah for takeout!), switched a load of laundry, cracked a beer and came on here. After a bit, I decided to try on all my VS bikinis again now that my boobs are going back down. Mid bikini putting on, I heard a thud, some crying and then another loud noise. Then it was quiet. I quickly changed back into my clothes and went upstairs to investigate. I found . . . the light on in Howie's room. He was sitting up in his bed with a bruise on his forehead. I think he might have rolled out of bed. I asked him if he was ok and he said yes. I asked him if he wanted me to put him back to bed and he said no. I asked him if he needed another milk and he said no. I said, "it's time for night-nights Howie" and laid him back down. He immediately turned on the real tears so I quickly asked him if he wanted to go downstairs and he said a garbled "yeah" through his tears. So . . . now he's downstairs watching mommy act like an adult. We're going to try going to bed again very soon. VERY soon.

Ok, Starla..if you're calling yourself flat as a pancake based on that pic, I'm flatter. :giggle: I don't know what's flatter than a pancake? A crepe?
For anyone familiar with fabrics....I need some guidance. Amy, if you're still here, I love your fabrics.
For the Booty Gold skirty, should I go with lotus elephant (I  this fabric and have a PF embellished with it) or peace & love? I  peace & love, too.

Soooo . . . how do you get yourself back on track with eating right? I've been making seriously terrible choices lately and I can't explain it. Like . . . every morning when I get my iced coffee I'm also getting a donut  Or even worse, a breakfast sandwich   EVERY morning. I'm putting butter on my veggies. I'm not eating half as much fruit as I used to. I'm just downing the carbs. I need to stop the madness! What can I do? It's like I know that I have to stop eating poorly and just start doing better but every time I'm in a situation where I can start eating better I reflexively choose the crap. Somebody stop me!

Jenn--Can't help you. I do the same thing. I try to compensate for it later in the day, but my morning starts off with all sugar--vanilla iced coffee, pound cake, or muffin. This morning, it was a breakfast sandwich, too.
If I sat down and ate what C is eating, I'd be so much better. Is it so hard to shovel in blueberries/bananas/peaches when she's eating them? Yep, for me it is.
Let's help each other out...somehow.

Jen- little steps at a time work better for me than all at once.
Right now I am switching out coffee for tea...less calories more antioxidants half the caffeine.
I am also cutting out sweets right now, though thats not by choice, thats because I cant taste it anyway so whats the point :banghead: I tried to eat some chocolate chips after my dinner of plain white rice....couldn't taste it at *all*...
Switching from juice to water was another one that I did. Once you get used to the new little change another little change isn't a huge deal and before you know it you have cut calories and caffeine intake in half and cut out a lot of sugar too...

Hi mamas! i am finally home and relaxing on my couch :) ok, not really. I was going to strip my dipes because i could not seem to rinse them enough in the hotel washer :banghead: but i think my house sitter may have used the washer, and when i went to load the dipes, there was *gasp*LIQUID FABRIC SOFTENER in the dispenser :gah:
So, i had to unload the dipes (had already put them in) and instead run a tub clean cycle (FLer). :banghead: So, now i can procrastinate a bit :giggle:
Alaina, i want to reply to you before i catch up on the thread. I took cloth on my vacation and really glad i did. I  can't stand sposies anymore. THey smell bad, and they leak! both DH and i were pooped on today (he was in sposies on flight days).dh was so missing the cloth! he even told me to buy some more diapers :roflmbo: Too bad he doesn't know i already did, or never stopped ;)
Ok, gonna try to catch up, but no promises. I am tired

Maya--that's it! I was just looking through GMs Flicker and I couldn't find it anywhere. Oh how I  that print. So much. I love lotus elephants, too. It's almost equal. And, as for DH...until he gets up in the AM and dresses C, or gives her a bath at night, I've decided that I don't care what he thinks. :giggle2: But, yeah....his hippie comment was the first thing I thought of with peace and love. My ILs would think the same thing. :giggle:
April--it wouldn't take *that* much fabric to make 2 skirties, would it??
I still don't know. Ugh. If they weren't so similar in color, I'd get both. Or, if I had unlimited PP, I'd get both. If only my TFs would sell. :(

Oh, Chasity...:hugs: mama.
Sara---which B4 sold? The moon/stars?
Did you see the previews for BSRB? I was all excited for you about the star print...until I saw the fairies.
You know you're going to keep the new ones. :giggle:
I'm not even going to open the hearts I got at the relist because I know I will  it.
So, now there are quite a few things I want to try, and no PP to try any of them.
-I want to try an NRSS (Sara, can't wait until you get your squishy customs), Sbish double-layer soaker, and of course a bunch of other wool goodies.
Why do I want to try all of the high ticket items?
When I first started CDing, simple UBIPFS were my favorite. That was most of my stash. Until C got squirmy during diaper changes......

Do you want me to wash the ERgo before i send it back? It is not awfully dirty or anything, but my kitty's fur seems to have added to the lint

I didn't want to sell the minky, but it was in the pic i posted for the other B4s FSOT and i got an offer, so i let it go. It was the right decision, but i am still sad to see it go

as usual, just a quick hello :) man, I am lame and feel the need to read the entire thread before I post, just to be in the know. but with a 10 month old who is teething and very much on the move lately, I have like 5 mins at a time to read during the day, so I spend all my time reading/catching up and not posting :giggle: but I don't want to be forgotten by all my bsrb mamas so I try to keep popping in to let you know I'm still around :)
it was a tough day today, my mom's dog (who we got when I was 12, he was 13) died today :( my mom is so brokenhearted, he was the coolest doggers ever and we all loved him so much. so yeah, sad day.
I miss all you lovely ladies! :hugs: please don't forget about me even if I don't post as often as I'd like and can't keep up with what everyone is chatting about :)

:roflmbo: Sara about the whole stash. I was going to say.....
I love having laundry in the hotel. So nice.
I'd love to see a pic of your updated stash...especially when your NRSS arrive. I am so looking forward to hearing a review of them.
I'm thinking of selling the rest of my B4, too. I only use one a day, or maybe every other day, it depends. There is one I really like for naptime. Decisions, decisions. I am the same way with the serging.....I just don't like the red marks around the thighs and on the lower back.
They just may be listed tomorrow. Sigh...it's so much easier to sell boy/GN prints than girly prints.

sorry about your dog i know that is a family member to you and your mom:hugs:
as usual, just a quick hello :) man, I am lame and feel the need to read the entire thread before I post, just to be in the know. but with a 10 month old who is teething and very much on the move lately, I have like 5 mins at a time to read during the day, so I spend all my time reading/catching up and not posting :giggle: but I don't want to be forgotten by all my bsrb mamas so I try to keep popping in to let you know I'm still around :)
it was a tough day today, my mom's dog (who we got when I was 12, he was 13) died today :( my mom is so brokenhearted, he was the coolest doggers ever and we all loved him so much. so yeah, sad day.
I miss all you lovely ladies! :hugs: please don't forget about me even if I don't post as often as I'd like and can't keep up with what everyone is chatting about :)

Evening ladies. Thought I would pop on for a minute.
Diana - you sound like me...loving the high-priced items :)
I was just thinking..for those that are done w/ kiddos...what are we going to do in 3 years when they are PL'd. Do they have a recovering DS forum??
Okay, need to get ready for bed. If I stay on here..more money will be going out the door :giggle:

Di,
Do you want me to wash the ERgo before i send it back? It is not awfully dirty or anything, but my kitty's fur seems to have added to the lint
ETA: i sold the orange minky OBV just now. I will NEVER sell the moon and stars!! Ok, well, maybe one day i will sell one of them... as i just got my custom of two more New size with OBV :woot2:
I didn't want to sell the minky, but it was in the pic i posted for the other B4s FSOT and i got an offer, so i let it go. It was the right decision, but i am still sad to see it go
Please don't be silly with washing the ergo. Your kitty's fur can live happily with the rest of the lint that I sent to you. I should have never bought a black ergo. It collects every piece of lint around.
Oh, boy...you sold the minky. :) I don't blame you, though...you have to let some things go when it's time. :hugs:
 Cristin! Looking forward to your pic!!

:wave2: Di! i just wanted to say I have 3 nrss' and they're great! they're the serged kind, and only 1 is the longer rise, which I like the best, but they still are all so nice and stretchy and trim. I still love my bsrb best and am considering selling them to get a couple more uf's  I just can't decide. I might just sell the 2 shorter rise, although then I have to :sadbye: to my elliot elephant print
