Okay can you tell i'm excited about the smurf bsrb? lol. and pooh ;X
I had the biggest headache last night. On top of it I had the chills and body aches. It just hit at like 6pm and it was all downhill from there. This morning i'm still feeling a little bleh but DH is staying home today and is going to help out with Ryder and Roan. We have a well baby check for Roan today as well. The wind outside right now is ridiculous. They said 50-60mph wind gust today..we have high wind advisory til 11pm. Fun times.
Going to post..and will come back with a Q of the day.
ETA. Okay so I've been going back and forth about vaccinations. Ryder pretty much had all his on time until I started to look more into it after one of the vaccines he got had a recall. Well needless to say at his 1year he didn't get the MMR and Varicella that they wanted to give him. Hes still not had it b/c i wanted to seperate them but the pedi refused saying they dont do that. Which i knew was a lie b/c other mamas have seperated them. Regardless we are no longer with that pedi. I'm thinking of putting Roan on a delayed vaccination sched. He's gotten his hepB vaccine at birth and will get the 2nd one today but it's only b/c my father who lives with us has hepB and we're pretty sure it contributed to his liver cancer..so we all felt this vaccine was important for Roan to get.
Anyways what is your take on vaccinations? and if you do a delayed sched..mind sharing it with me? I have that Dr Sears book that I started to read so hopefully it'll give me some insight.

Hi Tana! you beat me to starting the thread by one second :)
:woot2: for DH staying home today!!!
ETA:Whoops i did not mean to post that yet  I hear ya about the wind advisory... this is the same system that brought those tornadoes to Oklahoma :nervous:
I am so sorry you are not feeling well. I hope it passes quickly and I can't wait to hear Roan's stats today from his well baby check :)

Sometimes I feel badly when I am *so* tired at night that I remember waking up and hearing DD fussing/ crying but I truly haven't got the energy to get up so I lift my head...look at the clock...set my head down again to try and gather the energy....and fall asleep instead.

Tana, about vaccines:
I am probably in the minority here, so i will try to keep it short and sweet:
Vaccinations have saved generations of our parents and grandparents from horrific diseases (polio, mumps, german measles) and i believe that they are safer than the alternative. I don't like the MMR/Varicella combo, as i believe it puts unnecessary strain on LOs immune system, but i am vaxing on schedule for that too, because in NY state there are legality issues regarding following dr advice for our children.

Yeah, there have definitely been times like that in our house, but I figure if she was really upset then I wouldn't have been able to go back to sleep so easily.

Morning all!
Tana - sorry you don't feel well. Don't know how much help I'll be, but I will stalk tonight for ya. I think it's my home computer, because I didn't have any trouble with the re-lists.
Sara - You're not alone. We fully vax. We considered a delayed schedule, but after discussing it in length with our ped, who we love, we decided to go ahead and do it on schedule. I respect other people's decisions, though.
So, I need to get my butt in gear and get some stuff up on FSOT. I have some covers the boys have outgrown. I also need to get some pics of them modeling their BSRB.

Vaccines are something that I don't feel *super* strong about other than MMR...it was a gut feeling though when I told them I didn't want to get it for DS, nothing to do with autism or anything. As it turned out they recalled that MMR + varicella they were *going* to give him...so I trust my gut now.
We are delaying/ selecting for DD because there are simply things I am not worried about *right now*. She started at about 6 months (5.5 actually) and she got Hib, Prevnar, and DTaP. For the second dose the stupid health dept only provided vaccines that combined the prevnar, hib and polio but didn't have one without polio so she ended up getting that too. While its supposed to be one of the safest with side effects, I just wasn't worried about her *getting* polio. Oh well, she is vaccinated for it now.
I am waiting until DS either goes to preschool or is 4 to get him the MMR same with DD. I will not be giving chicken pox vaccine as I worry more about it being effective long term and CP is much worse as an adult than a child...I had it as a child and was fine...as did my brother.
As far as HepB DD won't be having that until she is 11/12ish, I didnt get it until I was 14ish and I was just fine. If we had risk factors for her getting HepB now I would get it, but we don't.

Morning all!!
Well, I am home today and have tons of laundry. I feel like that is all I do. I have to run to Target to get V-day stuff for the kiddos parties tomorrow also. Nothing like waiting until the last minute :giggle: I don't know what to get DH though.
So, another QOTD: What are you getting/giving for Valentine's Day??
Okay to answer the QOTD about vaccines: We are on a delayed. I believe in vaccinations, but we are delayed because of DD's allergies and I don't need any reaction. As for the live culture ones..I steer away from those until I do more research. So, no CP for us right now. I mean, I had them and so did everyone else in my class and we are all fine.
Okay, off to start laundry.

thanks for all your opinions. i think i'll just talk to my pedi today about doing an alternative sched. he'll get all his shots just not all at once. i dont mind bringing him in for shot only appts since my pedi is literally down the street from me. we won't do the varicella vax and will delay mmr til atleast 2. i am going to try to sneak in another nap. ;X
i am breastfeeding and now that you mention it..there is a slight sore spot on my right side, so it may be mastitis. I feel like Roan's been feeding kinda poorly lately..gah! i'm just gonna pump if he doesn't take both sides. i already have quite the freezer stash of frozen BM..my family is like it's taking over the freezer ;X

Morning! I accidentally delayed Eva's Vacs because I was going through hard times with exDH and was having a hard time getting out of the house. I think I started her shots at 5-6 months and it worked well. She didn't end up getting the rotovirus oral because she was too old... but I was well ok with that. Even the nurse gave me that look like "it's better if she doesn't get it".
We actually have to go soon ( i think she was due in Dec.)... where does the time go??

Tana- if you can... take a hot shower and rub the sore spot. You could have a clogged duct and you'd want to nip it in the bud right now. I think it's a good idea to pump too ( but don't massage your boob when you pump because that could cause a worse clogged duct). Just try to keep bfing as much as possible mama! Feel better! Call your Doc right away so he/she knows you might be getting mastitis because once it gets going.. it gets bad FAST!! :hugs:

Good morning! (Well, sort of. I only got 4 hrs of sleep last night, because my ds was up tons. Yeah, he's 2! What's up with that?!)
Tana, sorry that you haven't been feeling well! That's great that your dh is able to stay home though so you can rest and take care of yourself today.
As far as vaccs, I have done all of them on schedule. My ds was born with severe heart defects that had to be repaired through open heart surgery, so I gave the decision alot more thought than I ever had before him. After some discussion with his dr, I decided that the possible risk of the vaccs weren't as bad as the possible risk of him contracting the diseases with his health issues.

Yea you really wanna nip that in the bud...I am the *queen* of clogged ducts...used to get them like every other week when I was BFing DS for 14 months...it was insane. If you can eat almonds/almond butter that will help it pass through, advil works too, takes the swelling down so the clog can pass. Hot water and gentle massage as well as (while in the water) a fine tooth comb with oil over the affected spot (gentle of course!)...and nurse nurse nurse as much as possible. You can also to hot rice socks on the sore side between hot showers etc but hot wet heat is the best. If you end up with a fever it could be mastitis...

Hi Tana! I hope you feel better soon. It could be a clogged duct. I had one with Raeanne and they hurt. Just keep pumping/nursing.
It was another restless night. Juliana's still all stuffy. The breathing treatments are working. Thank goodness for coffee. :needcoffee:.
So far all my girls have had their vaccines on schedule. Tatiana did get measles from the mmr at 12 months. So I'm delaying that one for sure this time around. I have thought about a delayed schedule with Juliana. I need to give it more research soon. Her two month check up is next week.

Good morning ladies!!! Happy Stalking day!
We have a play date today at noon till 2 so, i'll get home for stalking tonight... But I am honestly being selfish and gonna go for a few thingsfor myself.... :hide:
Vacs: We *were* all up to date, then it came time for the dreaded 12 month vacs... Mia was already sick and Pedi. doesn't like to give vac. when their immune system is already battling an illness, so we postponed... BUT we CHOSE not to have CP, after DF and I talked about it we felt it was kind of pointless at this age to have it done... Even our Pedi. said it is mostly for parents so they dont have to miss 2 weeks of work (his words not mine), but we just felt it wasn't necessarry until she starts school IF she doesn't get CP before than! Although she has been exposed once already and nothing!
Valentines day: DF and I dont do gifts... We just Have an *us* day, We plan for Dinner and a Movie and Mia will go to his moms for the evening until we pick her up! Its nice to be ADULTS every once in a while... Even though we just sit and talk about her anyways lol!
ETA: My lil thing up there on Vacs seems a bit rude... NOT MY INTENT AT ALL!!! Everyone does what they feel is right for THEIR family! :hugs:

Sorry for the mamas with little sleep last night. :hugs:
So...anyone who would like to help me stalk PB&E at 3:30.....:hide:
I am still on for helping with stalking BSRB tonight. I know I'm stalking smurfs for Maya...and someone else, but mommy brain has the best of me.
Regarding vax: We have been on schedule so far. I read the Vaccine Book, but DH and I still believed that vaxing on schedule was the best for our family thus far. I respect everyone's personal decision with vaxing, though.
I am interested in splitting up the MMR, though. I tried to ask my pedi about it at C's 9 month, but she said that they don't give until 18 months, so I'm going to bring it up again at her 1yr checkup.
I didn't get the chicken pox virus until I was 13. It was a bit rougher of a virus getting it in my teenage years, so I do plan on having C get the Varicella vax on schedule.
Regading V-Day: DH and I can't stand V-Day. :hide: I will cook us filet for dinner, and C will give DH a card, but that's about it.
The winds are howling here, too. It's scary out there! I just got back from cleaning up all of the recyclables that blew out right out of the backyard into the driveway.
Trying to decide what to do today...C got up extra early today, so I have a feeling she's going to be fussy in a bit. I may just take a ride around while enjoying some coffee. I was thinking of going to the mall, but that may not happen today.

Mastitis/Clogged Ducs: TAKE CARE OF IT NOW!!!!!!!! Even if you are not in a LOT of pain! IT can get VERY ugly VERY fast!
Tylonel, Warm/Hot Showers, and REST!! STAY hydrated!
When Mia was about 5 months old I got a Clogged duct although I didn't know what it was, so I didn't really mess with it... 2 days later I was puking, dehydrated, chills and Migrane... Masititis, I ended up going to the ER and getting 3 or 4 bags of saline and given some pain killers... It was MISERABLE!

Good morning girls.
It's been super windy here the past couple days, but nothing bad. I heard about tornadoes in OK but I haven't been watching the news much the past few days. I have heard the wind howling pretty good outside but we've had pretty clear days.
I may be able to help someone stalk today. JLMK!
As far as vaxes, I am the minority I guess. We don't vax. My boys have had theirs up to 5 y.o. At the time I didn't question Drs. But I've done a lot of research since I was PG with Ava and I really don't feel comfortable getting them. I don't agree with the toxins in them, and the fact that none of them are 100% effective. So basically I would be injecting my child with harmful toxins that could impact her immune system or body, to take a chance that it can prevent a disease. And the diseases that it is supposed to be preventing are not deadly. Measles, mumps, and polio are just like CP. You get it, get over it and you are immune for the rest of your life. Where as you may or may not be protected with the vaccine and it doesn't last a lifetime, only a few years. If you are a female, and get measles, your body makes antibodies to pass to your future infants when you BF. If you get a shot for it, your body can't make those. I also think it's just too much stuff going into a baby's system. Most of them aren't "effective" (in quotes because none are 100% effective) until all doses are received. Well a lot of them, the last dose isn't until after a year old. So babies are susceptible their whole first year.
Anyway, I don't want anyone to feel like I'm trying to sway them. I respect everyone's decisions, it's just like BF vs FF or CD vs Sposies or ERF vs FF and all those other decisions. I just listed a *few* of the reasons why we don't.

I really don't care which color. You ladies let me know which color you think I should go for or I'm just going to flip a coin.
WHYYY must you show me these things?! I don't even like wool and I'm in love with these!! I think the pink is way cuter.
I like orange for C but not myself. Her orange burst BSRB is one of my faves.

Good, I'm glad you chose pink so it won't even tempt me in the slightest. Except GRR...I had to click on the main page and saw that they have purple which I love even more. Again, WHY??! :giggle2:

Pink it is then :)
I was just browsing wool interlock soakers again :banghead: and i still can't decide between Luxe and Sbish. I can get luxe right now, but i'd have to wait to get Sbish. Decisions decisions.
:hide: I sold those two BNIP ultimate fits from last week's stocking
I decided to fund some wool instead :) I have plenty of diapers, but once it warms up and we can't wear longies anymore, i am going to need more covers.

I like Luxe Woolies, but it is a bit thin... Its only one layer all throughout the whole peice.... If you think you will need more coverage go for WCW or Sbish... Just My thoughts
Oh and Get WCW soaker with the extra wool sewn in the crotch!

I just listed a *few* of the reasons why we don't.

just a question are you hep b +
hep b is only contracted through needles, blood, sex
it is a shot that medical workers get and i dont know how they ever started giving it to infants the only way they can get it is through their mother and most ob's test you when your prego
big business big business

Tana, about vaccines:
I am probably in the minority here, so i will try to keep it short and sweet:
Vaccinations have saved generations of our parents and grandparents from horrific diseases (polio, mumps, german measles) and i believe that they are safer than the alternative. I don't like the MMR/Varicella combo, as i believe it puts unnecessary strain on LOs immune system, but i am vaxing on schedule for that too, because in NY state there are legality issues regarding following dr advice for our children.

got it with my 1st son no matter how much i tried to empty it it still was rock hard
dh had to get it out because it was soo salty bab didnt want that side anymore:giggle2:

Sometimes I feel badly when I am *so* tired at night that I remember waking up and hearing DD fussing/ crying but I truly haven't got the energy to get up so I lift my head...look at the clock...set my head down again to try and gather the energy....and fall asleep instead.
I keep trying to tell myself that it means she must have settled if she didn't cry hard enough to wake me up but I always worry that I was just too exhausted to hear it...
I went through that at the peak of Juliana's sleeping difficulties and my take on the matter was . . . if I was so tired (from waking with her) that I couldn't even find the will to get out of bed, I had a relatively well rested hubby right next to me in bed that could go get her and rock her or latch her onto my boob. So I never felt bad about falling asleep during the crying out of sheer exhaustion.

I vaccinate mostly on schedule. I only allow 2 needles per visit (only for the comfort of H and J) so sometimes we go back 2 weeks later for whatever other shots they were supposed to have at that visit. The only one I have delayed was MMR. Howie was supposed to get it at 12 months and we delayed until 24 months. Juliana has not had it yet, but will at the end of the year. Neither of them has had chicken pox. I'm not sure if they will.

I was going to say not to go for the pink but now that I see that you are, maybe it can help me stay on the wagon  I don't NEED them anyway, so I should just busy myself with a sink full of dishes at 3:30.
I've been here and lurking all day but for some reason Juliana is being a BANSHEE today and won't stop screaming unless she's playing on the couch, when she needs constant supervision. I'm kind of ready to rip my hair out with this girl today :(

Morning mamas! You have been chatty this morning! Late night last night, so I'm late on everything this morning too.:giggle: I haven't sold anything off fsot so unless I get lucky before tonight, I won't be going after anything.
Tana- I can help you stalk. Just let me know what you want me to go for.
QOTD1: Both of my boys are vaxed on schedule. By the time I found out about non-vaxing, they had already had almost everything. I have mixed feelings on vaxing/non-vaxing and feel like I need to do more research
QOTD2: I haven't gotten dh anything for v-day. We usually don't make a big deal out of it. Sometimes we go out to eat and dh usually gets me some roses but that is about it.
X is still having :yuck: poops. He had a total poop schedule, once in the AM right before nap, then once in the afternoon as well. I hate when his morning diaper has poop, because i have no idea how long he's been sitting in it . Poor red bum baby :(
I can't wait to see the listings, then i can offer help if i am being good :iAMinnocent:
awww poor x. And I kwym about the morning poo. It always makes me feel bad.
Morning!
Let me know which one you decided on and link me. I'll help!
ETA: I forgot. Tana, it sounds like you may have mastitis. I've had it 3 times and it goes bad fast. I felt liek I had the flu x 10. Get a call into your ob and he can go ahead and get you something just in case. :hugs:

If I don't get them, I'm not going to be sad. I really shouldn't get them, but if I do get these, I am saving myself about $20 by not getting sbish shorties when they stock. That's my rationale. :giggle:

I'm trying to decide if I can tolerate orange. I suppose I could get some t-shirts embellished with fish in bags to match them :giggle: God, I am SOOOO BAD!!! My trouble is the inseam. Juliana only has about an 8" inseam (and that's being generous) so a 4" inseam will definitely be capris on her, not shorties. I guess I still have a few hours to decide :)
Suzy, I can help you go after smurfs tonight if the fates align for me to be here and able to stalk. I'm not going after anything for myself tonight unless she's hiding a really :drif: print that I won't be able to resist. But then I'll definitely be stalking, so I can still help you :giggle: I'm expecting my magic diapers from you any day. The tracking still says that they just left your facility, but that was like 5 days ago, and I know my PO most likely won't scan it until it's delivered.

he passed away oct 07. he was a member of the swat team & was shot by a drug dealer in a raid. :(
i was 6 months pregnant & it WAS SO hard to keep myself together for health of my unborn baby. everyone was scared i was going to go in premature labor.
i like to believe he's in a better place, a place where we all want to be
thx Sara. i've never meet a person that loved there job as much as he did!

I love the PB&E shorties too... but I can't fork out $40 bucks for them :(
Valentines day is going to consist of maybe a breakfast with me DBF and baby. Then Eva will spend the day with my Dad, Stepmama, and sisters while I'm at work until 10 :) :( I wish I could spend the whole day with my loves but work is important right now! Then on Sunday I'm watching my sisters so my Dad and SM can go to a movie. Maybe DBF & I will bring a pizza over and we could watch a movie?
I'm not expecting anything from DBF since he didn't get me anything for my B-day:headscratch: :gah:

Suzy, :hugs: mama. He is certainly in a better place, and it's beyond wonderful that he loved his job so much.
I actually like that shade of orange. I don't like the orange that is the trim color in the luxe soaker I got yesterday..it's kind of peachy orange. :yuck:
I wouldn't mind going for the orange if you want the pink.
Oh, and C's inseam is about an 8ish, too, so I'm fully expecting these to be capris on her. To me, it's fine...she can get more use out of them being capris vs. shorties.
I lost my big bro too so sending you big :hugs:
:hugs: to you, too, Heidi.
Ok, who did I tell I would help stalk yesterday besides Maya? I really can't remember.

Amy - I just thought of this, whatever happened to DBF and your mom. I hope it all worked out.
Suzy - :hugs:
Di - I should be able to help (((((must not buy shorties for Blake))))
QOTD - I will make this short. I vaccinate on time.
QOTD2 - I asked for a big gift last year that actually took up my birthday, Mother's Day and our anniversary. That was during my designer handbag kick. This year I don't want anything. I said he could give me some pp. :giggle: John said no way. He wants to pick something out but I would rather we save money, with the exception of fluff.

Megan- So I talked with him and acted like I forgot that he said he told mom "almost $30".. yet mom told me he said "almost $40"
So I was like:" Babe, I need to talk about something that is bothering me. You told mom that the material from Home Depot cost almost $40 but I saw the receipt and it said in total it was $23."
DBF: "I told her it was almost $30 not $40"
Me: "Well $23 isn't almost $30 dollars anyways so why wouldn't you give her the change?"
DBF: She told me to keep the change and then she gave me an extra $20 for my work."
So, I'm just torn on who to believe. I honestly think what happened is DBF accidentally said "almost $40" because when he received change from the cashier he probably thought "hmm $5 dollars in change.. almost $30"
I really don't think he meant any harm because he was so sincere and I have no doubt in my mind that he's telling the truth. I told my mom that if she is still uncomfortable that she needs to talk to him herself. Also, next time he does any work for her and she's paying him, she needs to ask for the receipts from any material bought. DBF is naturally ditsy... that's his only bad quality.

Amy - At first I thought it seemed a little fishy but after the breakdown I can totally see how there could have been miscommunication. They are probably both telling the truth as they saw it. KWIM. I don't think your DBF was trying to pull a fast one. Hopefully your mom won't look at him differently.

Ok, we're back from yet ANOTHER trip out . . . to bring DH lunch at work. He called and asked for it and I asked Howie if he wanted to bring lunch to daddy and he was like "YEAH!!!!". So we did. Now naptime is fast approaching. We're watching one episode of Diego and eating some blueberries, then it's time for a nap.
Here's my RANT for the day. Right now there is only one episode of Dora and one episode of Diego on demand and they both end on 2/15. What am I going to do then??!?!?
As for Valentine's Day, I'm not expecting anything because we don't make a huge deal out of it, but I wouldn't be surprised to get some flowers. We'll see. DH is getting "**** for Women" and "**** for New Moms", wrapped up nicely with a scanty piece of lingerie that he'd like to see me in. I'm trying to give him the hint about what would put me in the mood :giggle: Guess what we're doing on Valentine's Day? Having dinner at the ILs. Yeah. How ROMANTIC! DH was on the phone with his mom last night and when he got off he was like "Babe, my parents cancelled their plans for Valentine's Day". I was fully expecting to hear "so now they'll be able to watch the kids and we can go out". Nope. Now they want to have us over for dinner, with the kids. Really? I have made my peace with never going out with DH on Valentine's Day because I always assume that my mom or the ILs are going to have plans then. We have found nice ways to have nice nights in together and we don't mind staying home. But dinner at the ILs? Why? I would really rather be alone with my husband on Valentine's Day. My MIL is really sweet but sometimes I just think she's so clueless.

Amy---I agree with Megan...now that I see the whole story spelled out, I think it was just an honest miscommunication. Sounds exactly like something my DH would do unintentionally. (not that he knows how to fix anything, but with other things.)
Megan--IDK how you're going to hold onto your PP for a month. I can barely hold onto it for 24 hours.
Jenn--That stinks about V-day. The ILs have probably been married a long time, so I doubt if they are thinking 'romantic' for V-Day. :giggle:
Ok, I have a little vent myself. (I am feeling really down about this for some reason.)
As most of you know, ILs live right around the corner from us, while my parents live in FL. ILs are older (around 70) and while my dad is the same age, my mom is only 57. She works full-time, etc.
Anyway....FIL took C for a walk yesterday and was back in an hour, which was totally fine. However, when he used to walk her in the summer/fall, he would take her back to ILs house so MIL could see C and I would go over and pick her up. I told DH that FIL just brought her home and told me that he stopped to his home with C, but MIL was making a sandwich for herself so they left. :headscratch: MIL doesn't leave the house, she has very poor circulation in her legs so can't get around much.
So...DH tells me that C is now at that age where she's 'too much' for them. I totally understand, she's not happy just sitting on laps anymore, which is what MIL loved to do with her. Plus, C is obviously a lot heavier now.
I'm just feeling really down because I literally have no one else who can watch C if I need to run out and do something during the week. It doesn't happen often at all, but I would go to a 2-hour hair appt or something like that maybe once/month and drop C off at the ILs. She won't nap over there, so that doesn't help. And, since MIL doesn't leave the house, coming to my house isn't an option.
I know many of you don't live close to family, so I feel fortunate that we do. I'm just lost and kind of feel trapped. I hate to say that, but I do. DH says that we can't afford to pay a sitter, so that's not an option.
The girls in my mommy group all charge at least $10/hour to babysit. I can't be paying them $30 for me to go to a hair appointment.
Ok, vent over. Sorry to complain. I just really wish I was closer to my own family at this time, they would be beating down my door to spend time with C (not that I want that or anything. :giggle: )
Anyway.....looking forward to seeing the full stocking tonight at BSRB even though I'm not buying a thing. I'm looking forward to stalking for others. ;)

HI, Lisa!! Welcome!! The BSRB love is fabulous, isn't it!! So glad to hear that you started to CD when your LO was 13 months. :) Hope you're enjoying it!!
Starla--I don't even know how many total diapers (or each brand #) I have. I am OCD about washing/folding/putting them away neatly, but no idea on the actual count. Weird, but I'm not really a collector of things so that could be why.
And, no....my Firefox is still not any better. I actually want to try my desktop to see if it works there. I don't know what's going on, but I'm frustrated because I keep forgetting, sign into Firefox and then get into DS, read through everything and go to post and there is no reply button. :giggle:

Starla, you are not the only one. I have certain things in life that i am rather ocd about, too, but diapers are not one of them. I *do* like to have at least two of any diaper that i like, just so that when i feel like putting him in that dipe, if he poops immediately, i can put the other one on him :giggle: I have several different types of diapers, and i can not imagine committing solely to one brand!!

Di, as you know, we have no one here to watch X. DH and i have not gone out since he was born :hide: but we don't really mind, since we are home-bodies anyway. However, i do trade sitting time with moms in my group. Ex/ i watch my friend's DS for a few hours when she gets her hair done, then next week she watches X for me while i have a dr appt. It works very well for us, and no $ changes hands
So sorry about your ILs though, that would drive me up a wall having them so close, but having them uninvolved. It kinda bugs ME that they say "she is too much for them" Ummm:headscratch: she's not even a year old!!! :giggle: I thought I was going to stay strong, too. I'm actually thinking about hopping out of the enwrapture co-op if I get these shorties.
Honestly . . . I'm thinking of hopping out of the enwrapture co-op AND not getting any shorties. The Beco was my splurge, so now I would feel guilty getting more stuff, especially since I'm going to have to use partial cc to pay for my BSRB custom unless I get more lucky on FSOT :(

Can I join in with you ladies?
I found the BSRB love about a month ago. I am still pretty new to CD. I didn't start until my DS was 13 months old.
I love the fit of the old style BSRB's I have.
I would love to get one of the newer ones tonight but I think my internet is still down from the wind storm. :(
Oh BTW I have the even # OCD also.
Hi! Welcome. Are you looking for girly, GN or boyish? I'm sure some of us could help you stalk.

I wish there were someone that wanted to trade my medium EV skirts for the short ones...mediums are just too stinkin long for me. However I won't be hopping out of the Co-op as those shirts look ideal for what I like to wear...especially since I can go around sans bra :giggle2:

woohoo Oh yeah My mutts came! They look SMALL but I guess they are supposed to be REALLY trim! I got Mia Large BS... but I LOVE the prints Hello Kitty on grey and Ella Dots! I think I need more!
I love my Babyshapes. They're so tiny and super stretchy! DD can wear both the M/L and L (haven't tried M ever). They're great trim daytime fitteds. Although, I think I told the story a while back of how I got up one morning after DH had put DD to bed and found her in a BS Mutt with Thirsties over. No leaks, AMAZINGLY. I applaud DH for his effort, but not the best nighttime dipe, haha.
I think I am gonna like them... I may need 4 more... I like even 6's for some reason! lol! Well mostly just EVEN numbers... Odd ones make my nutty! So whenever I buy something new I always get 2 lol! Its bad! So hopefully I can get 2 bsrbs tonight... We will see! I like each fitted for different times/reasons but these look SO small compared to my gms!
I'm the exact same way. I think I do actually have OCD, but especially in CD world. Though, as long as I have at least two of a brand, I kind of lose count and don't care. But having a one of a kind is so annoying to me. I kind of want to get an UF BSRB to try, but them I'm thinking I'll have to get two. Decisions, decisions.
Ok, vent over. Sorry to complain. I just really wish I was closer to my own family at this time, they would be beating down my door to spend time with C (not that I want that or anything. :giggle: )
I can totally understand you here. I think I've said before that my ILs live right next door and my parents live over 450 miles away. And ours is the same situation where my parents would be uber helpful and his parents are, well, not usually.
Did I tell everyone that Reese finally learned to crawl this week?? I mean, FINALLY. She's 10.5 months old! Yay for her (and boo for the impending babyproofing)! :lostit:

Alaina,
:yay: for crawling!! :woot2: When x started crawling, at least one item was removed from the living room daily until now it is very empty, and sparsely furnished  I keep trying to find some baby-friendly pieces to fill the space, but it's hard thinking about decorating when i am just constantly picking up toys anyway :giggle:

I'm looking mainly for Boyish prints, GN if its super cute. I'd love help stalking. :hugs:
LOL, when I first came to DS I was :headscratch: on the stalking talk. I had no earthly idea what that was. :giggle2:
Yes, to the pp I do love cloth diapering. Along with my even # OCD I also find my self OCD on cloth diapers.
My stash consists of bG AIO's 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0, Nana's bottoms AIO's, Mutt 3sr's, BSRB's and I have 1 of smilnjen's CD and a custom order in with her now. I'll have to break down and take a pic sometime. Although most of mine are plain.

Di, is it just on diaperswappers or is it all sites? Can you go into Tools --> Options, click the "Content" image at the top, and then see if "Load Images Automatically" is checked? If it is, click the exceptions box and see what's in there... remove all sites if necessary to clear it out and try again. LMK if that helps... it's a setting that may have been retained when you uninstalled/installed.
I am desperately not stalking woolies on PB&E. Have staunchly resolved NOT to buy anything else until i get off my *** and get some diapers listed. I mean it this time, really.

We bought our plane tickets the other day and we are leaving the night of Mar 1. We won't be in SC until mid April though. All of our friends have done DITTY (DIY) moves to makes money (9-14k dependent on weight). I just didn't want to deal with it all and our neighborhood doesn't have an area to put a huge container trailer in front of so it isn't even an option. Yes, it is a bit of a relief to have movers come and then John deal with all the rest. The trade off is I have to do the plane ride to the East coast by myself when I am deathly afraid of planes. Then of course will be w/o John until mid April.

If she's too much for them now, what will they do when she's three? I hope that's not too harsh, but that's what i would think if it were my DH's family. :hugs:
I hear ya. DH and I are pretty much homebodies, too. It's just kind of the issue with if I wanted to run out and do something, I really can't. I mean, don't get me wrong...they do offer to babysit a lot. However, DH said last night that more than 30-45 mins is probably too much for them since she's all over the place. :( I honestly think it will be better when she is 3-4 years old because she can sit down and color, etc. They watch DH's 4yo nephew every few weeks and they can just sit him down and keep him entertained. It's just a catch-22, and I really don't know how to feel about it. What I didn't mention is that DH's sister lives at home with them. That's another story in itself, though. She doesn't babysit UNTIL they are at least 4yo and can do everything themselves. She would never come over here to sit, she just buys lots of gifts for b-days and Christmas to compensate. :headscratch:
And, as for the mommy group...the 2 girls who started it have that setup with watching each other's kids. I've even offered to do the trade like you're doing, and they said 'oh, thanks..we're covered in that aspect. however, we are always looking for a little extra money if you ever need a sitter.)
Honestly . . . I'm thinking of hopping out of the enwrapture co-op AND not getting any shorties. The Beco was my splurge, so now I would feel guilty getting more stuff, especially since I'm going to have to use partial cc to pay for my BSRB custom unless I get more lucky on FSOT :(
Well, as long as J has enough summer attire. :giggle2: I just think if I wait until summer to get all of this stuff, it's going to be so much harder on the PP. With the wool I got yesterday and these shorties, and the skirties from BootyGold, I'm feeling pretty good about summer outfits so far.

OMG--congrats to Reese!! Is she crawling with belly off the floor? C isn't and I don't think she's going to. :giggle: If it makes you feel better, the babyproofing in my house is not anywhere close to where it needs to be and walking is fast approaching. I have been asking DH for MONTHS to help me. I've come to terms that I'm going to have to do it myself.
Ok, off to wash my dishes so I can stalk at 3:30. :)

Nothing makes me enjoy the quiet and solitude of living on an enclosed lot that is set off the road quite like the electrical company cutting down trees on the border of my property line :banghead: They have an easement that goes through the side of our parcel and they've been maintaining the over growth for about a week now. Ugh! It's so loud, and they've been parking their trucks on MY DRIVEWAY because it's easier access to the area they're working on than if they drive all they way up the easement. My mom thinks I should complain to the electrical company and make them stay on the easement (and get off my driveway) but I don't want be confrontational.

I too, always said that. In fact, I would walk past houses with stuff in the yard and comment on toys in the yard and all the clutter. I also would be bummed out when I had to sit near kids on a plane. Oh, I thought of another one, strollers taking over aisles in places. Well, let's just say things have changed.:giggle2:

That's kind of rude of the other moms to tell you that they wouldn't do a trade but you could pay them. I'd be kind of put off by that :(
And J is not doing too shabby for summer attire. Our custom rainbow capris should be arriving tomorrow, then we're also waiting on the holy grail of wool; the goldfish shorties set. She also has a pair of scrappy shorties in progress. We also currently have a couple of soakers and a pair of interlock "longies" that were too big for her this winter. I was going to FSOT them but now I'm thinking they'll fit as capris, so I'm holding onto them. Don't get me wrong; we're going to need more wool. But with the most :drif: wool I could ever imagine wanting all OTW, I am no longer in a rush :giggle:
I always used to say "I'm not going to be one of those parents who lets the baby's stuff take over the house!" and here I am sitting in my living room that is sans coffee table and has about 20 toys scattered across the floor instead. :giggle2:
I think everyone says that until they have kids and realize how silly it is to do as much cleaning as "not letting the baby's stuff take over the house" would require. BF's sister had her first baby a month before Juliana and when he was a month old she was like "I'm doing really good keeping his stuff contained and not all over the place". In my head all I could think was how easy that is to do when it's not the baby scattering his stuff everywhere on his own :giggle: Now she is experiencing approx the same age gap as me, having just welcomed their second baby in December, and she's in full agreement with me :giggle:

Link me up Diana..I can help.

Thanks again. I may have accidentally clicked something or C could have, too. I know I was trying to use the laptop the other day and she was all over it. :giggle: I should know better. I call her magnet. Everything she's not supposed to touch is drawn right to her little fingers.

I might stalk your smurfs first because I think you need smurfs more than I need giraffes for sure. In fact . . . maybe having a good reason to get something for someone else will keep me on the wagon. We'll see :)
In other news . . . this is a freaking delight. Usually this is what time J wakes up from her nap but because of how long it took her to get to sleep she's still going strong! Howie won't be up until 5pm. When he actually takes a nap, it's a doozy; 3 hours or longer. So this mama is :bliss:

ok back from the pedi. roans stats are 22in long and 9lbs12oz!!! can i just say that he was born 20in and 7lbs and at 10days he was still 20in and 7lbs2oz. well he's gaining just fine!
and we talked bout the vaccination sched and he actually doesnt do more than 2 shots per visit as a general rule of thumb which was on point with what i felt so he approved my schedule which has everything but the polio, flu, and chickenpox..and i'll do the mmr at 2yrs. soooo happy with this ped over my last.
ok i sooo thankfully no other prints are calling to me..ssoooo smurfs and pooh tonight! though i wont cry over not getting smurfs if i score the pooh. dh likes the pooh print more and if only one smurf is scored i'd actually really like suzy to have it then. i think it was more meant to be hers.

I think I'm riding the wagon tonight. After thinking about it, there are so many mamas that are after giraffes that I would have to get really lucky to score it, and I really prefer iced giraffes anyway.
Woops, I missed this. I will help, but I must warn you, I don't have the best record. If Annette offer to stalk for you, TAKE HER UP ON IT!!! She helped me out big time last week.
