I am ready, what do I do???

My son is 28 mo and still nurses ALOT. I would say 6-8 times a day not including night nursing. Latley he has become quite impatient and demanding when it comes to his milk and I am getting frustrated.
I want to wean him gently but with his "tude" latley I don't know if it would be :cry: Dh and I are ttc and I am kind of hoping that ds will just decide to stop when I get pg but what if that does not happen? I don't want to be tired w/ mornign sickness and frustrated with nursing too:(

I don't know about other mamas, but i didn't get pregnant until after weaning. We were ttc for a few months, ds weaned, and bam it happened. May just be my body, tho.

Could you work in extra snuggle time in place of a few of those nursings?

You can just say, "mama's milk is broken" and tell him that there isnt anymore in there for him. Give him a cup, and just hope that he is ok w/ it!

I nursed Andrew for 16 mos then weaned him to a bottle. He dumped his bottle on my laptop, so I grabbed it and said "no more for you! bottle is all gone!" and that was that. He looked at me like "wuuuuhhhhh?" but I gave him a cup and it was all good.
