How do I wean my nearly one year old

Hi I need to wean my baby off my breasts for medical reasons. But he is very attached, refuses a bottle and is allergic to cows milk. The allergy formula is vile. I don't know what to do. Please please help.

May I ask what the medical reason is? The majority of medications are safe for nursing, but Doctors don't know this and don't ever seem to care about finding out :headscratch:

Have you tried Goat's Milk? My oldest has a terrible dairy allergy. We put him on goat's milk for quite awhile. Goats milk is the closest to BM. I have met Moms that have raised their babies on goats milk.
Have you also tried a sippy in place of a bottle?

My dd does much better with a straw cup. She never took a bottle or sippy. I also second the goats milk recommendation.
