My 4 y/o DD has been having "accidents" the last couple of weeks. She goes in the bathroom and just stands there and pees on herself:banghead: It is driving me nuts! We are about to have a new baby, and I know this is why she is doing it, but, I am tired of dealing with it! I make her clean it up and clean and dress herself, and I try not to get mad, but, I do sometimes. I really dont know what else to do:blush: Any advice? How do I get her to stop? This is ridiculous:banghead: :banghead:

hmmm is she in undies? She doesnt care that she's wet? Maybe try taking her every 20 mins and having her sit on the potty. She may just be holding it so long that when she gets there, she goes.

I began pt'ing as soon as my son turned 3 because he needed to be pt'd to get into preschool, so that was a push for me. He was trained 2 weeks after turning 3. It was easy for me because it was summer so he just went around in undies and if he went, he went.

I think you are doing the best you can. She has to realize that she can't get attention for it and then she will move on to something else. Helping her clean it up and redress herself is probably all you can do at the moment since she is doing it on purpose and is potty trained. Try not to show any emotion and just hand her a towel to help.

Hang in there. These backslides are to be expected....and may happen more once the new baby arrives. Just bury your own emotion, and she'll get the hang of it. Give her some extra cuddles and positive attention elsewhere, if you can.

I agree with the other posts, but if it isn't a obstinate thing, you could make sure she doesn't have a UTI or something. My DD did last year, and today she pottied herself at school for the first time, and the teacher asked me towatch it to make sure it wasn't a UTI, even though it was the first time it happened!

She has been PTd for more than 2 years so I know it isnt that type of issue. We have been through this before when we moved back from AZ, I just wish it would be done with. Thanks mamas for the advice:hugs:
