Suggestions for making my own grocery bags

I have a handful of Chico Bags, but I want something with a solid-ish bottom.

What do you suggest to make the bottom solid?

I have some thin plastic cutting boards that I bought on clearance at Ross. Not very green I know. You could check out thrift shops for those or similar.

I use the cardboard from legal pads as stabilizers.
