Have any of you found a brick-and-mortar store that sells bamboo fleece? If not, where do you shop online for fabric? I am scared of the price of shipping!

I think that the diapersuppliescoopcanada yahoo group is just about to close a coop for bamboo velour and fleece. Shipping is a killer. You really need to order quite a bit to make it worth while.
I definitely don't have a B&M store here. Some of the bigger cities like Toronto or Vancouver may have it available in the textile districts? Definitely not in my small town though.

I can get this locally from a supplier. I have to buy a minimum of 50-60 yards, if there is interest, I would be happy to run a coop of sorts. There is no shipping costs to me and it is $8.50/meter. It would just be shipping to you from Surrey, BC.
I also can get Bamboo Velour.

I live on Vancouver Island, and would love to get some bamboo fleece (or velour, not sure yet - what would work better as a prefold?).

I think fleece would be better for prefolds. How much are you thinking? I would need interest in 30-40 metres(among a bunch of people is fine) beofore I could do it. Email me at info@bouncingbabies.ca if you are interested and please include quantitites.

I also have access to bamboo velour and fleece. I can have full rolls (about 45yds for fleece and 50yds for velour) drop shipped directly to you.
I also have a coop group on yahoo where you can order smaller yardage.
you can also check out yahoo group wholesaleclothdiaperfabricsnotions you need to get at least 10 yards though, but shipping is included. Good deals, and it is a Canadian mama living in China
