lead certs question.

I'm planning on making felt food and selling it on hyena cart or/and etsy. I've been making food for my daughter and now that my husband has two weeks of non paid furlough we're really trying to find ways to get some money for those weeks.

Will I need to get lead certificates on all the thread and felt that I buy? How do I go about doing this? I usually just buy fabric from joanns, but I don't if they even have the lead certificates on their stuff.

Is anyone even interested in buying polyester felt food? I am using that for my dds food because it is SO much cheaper and was thinking that I can make the prices for polyester felt food a lot cheaper than wool felt food.
