this morning was one of those days.
- wake up, change DS
- dog pees on the carpet because I forgot to let him out and ignored his enthusiastic potty dance as I was busy (poor doggy....)
- clean that up while ds crawls around, ds opens a cabinet and slides out a big glass bowl on the bottom shelf which shatters instantly on the tile floor
- pick up ds, make a mental note to buy cabinet locks, put him in playpen and clean up glass, cutting finger
- strap ds to highchair with bananas so i can shower, ds decorates bathroom with banana
- put ds on floor while getting dressed, ds bangs head on corner of dresser. make mental note to buy corner guards
- put ds on floor while drying hair, turn around 10 seconds later to see him playing with his hands in the toilet water :yuck:
- make mental note to buy toilet locks, and slap yourself for not babyproofing better (it seems as soon as we get the house sorted out he's one step ahead...)
- go to baby group, ds crawls off the playmat 1/4 inch thick and falls, nurse huffs "saw that coming..." to make you feel worse. comfort ds.
- ds then decides to throw a tantrum by throwing himself on the floor and arching his back when you try to put him down
- take ds to the car, strap him to the car seat while he's arching his back and screaming and kicking his legs
- ds falls asleep finally. breathe.
it ended up being a good day in the end, we got his first haircut :goodvibes:
