I am 6 weeks today and already don't need a belt on my pants. :( With DD#1 I wasn't in maternity clothes til 5 1/2 months. I don't want to be in maternity clothes at 2 months!!!!!:banghead:
Those of you who are pregnant with second baby or more...how much sooner were you in mat clothes?

For each one it has been sooner. With #1 I just wanted to wear them but probably didn't actually need them until 3 or 4, #2 I think it was about the 2-3 months, #3 it was 4-6 weeks and #4/5 (the twins) were by 3-4 weeks! They say you get bugger quicker with each pregnancy bc your body knows what to do. Don't know but it was true for me!

Around 13-14 wks is when I started wearing maternity clothes. At that time though, it was mainly pants. I didn't really need to start wearing maternity shirts for another 3-4 wks.

The first time I was wearing elastic waists around 2-3 months...this time, I broke out the maternity jeans the day I found out! Seriously, I think I just quit bothering to suck it in at that point but I did start showing a lot earlier. I think part of it depends on how long you had between the two pregnancies...I had never really gotten my shape back so it was easy to stretch out again.
If you don't want to go into maternity clothes, have you seen the "belly bands" that are just like a belt that goes around the waist of your pants to hold them shut without fastening them? It looks like you're just wearing layered shirts...very cute.

with bailey I needed them around 4 months. With Tyler (2nd) I think it was much longer... like 6 months or so... for pants at least. I needed shirts b4 pants b/c all my jeans are low rise so I didn't need to wear maternity for awhile.

pregnancies are weird. i didn't wear mat. clothes until 20 weeks or so with my 1st preg. my second one I was in them at 8 weeks. my belly was more stretched out, and it was just "pudgy" I also hated anything feeling tight around my tummy :yuck:
I am very short though, so no where for it to go but out.

I never wore maternity clothes.
I wear skirts/dresses only though...one dress might not have fit at the end, but all of the skirts did, they all have an elastic waistband, which i just pulled up over my tummy...so instead of floor length skirts, i had mid-calf skirts, LOL! But, i weighed 198 when my pregnancy started, and 180 when i delivered and 165 after delivery, so i had lost a LOT of weight. (and had an almost 9 pound babe to boot!)

First time around....as soon as I got a +HPT  it was because I WANTED to be wearing them..not that I NEEDED them But I had "convinced" myself I needed them :giggle:
2nd time around I decided I would go as long as I could WITHOUT them. I dont remember exactly when I had to go into them but I rarely wore my maternity pants (I know i was in the shirts at about 22wks or so) I live in stretchy yoga type pants most of the time so I just wore those.
This time...I made it to about 7wks! At which time I Just couldnt stand the pants being tight around my waist. I got some maternity pants that are low rise and they just have the band around the top that is like 3" thick so they are as most like real pants as possible just a stretchy waist. But I still prefer my yoga pants LOL....

I'm 12 weeks with my 3rd and still not wearing maternity clothes....But my regular clothes are starting to not work...my pants are ok...I can use a rubberband to stretch them out a bit...but my shirts are all too short to cover my rubberband...LOL
With DD#1 I was so anxious I started wearing maternity clothes LONG before i needed them. I can't really remember when I started wearing them with DD#2.

This is baby #1 for us... and I"m 34 weeks along and still haven't worn maternity pants---so ITCHY!!! Luckily this little boy is "riding" really really high still.. so normal jeans are still fine. I started to NEED to wear maternity tops around 5 monthes.. but I tried to hold on as long as I could because up until a week ago, I was an elementary school teacher and didn't want too many questions about what was going on with Mrs. Nowlin and why was she getting "fat"???
