Mornin

I poas again this morning....BFN....I'm thinking the $tree tests we have here in Canada are pure !/$!/$!"/%$%/$.

I'll conduct an expirement and have my sister pee on one just to see if she gets a faint line. My test yesterday looked pretty positive to me...no squinting or anything and in the timeframe. This morning I went to look at it and the line isn't there anymore plus I would have gotten a darker line this morning with fmu....so I'm thinking AF should be here soon.

I'll try one last time FRER tomorrow morning if AF doesn't show up today.

Morning all:) Yes...thank you for doing the list!

Meagan...glad you guys like the preseed...and yes, waiting SUCKS!

Suzie :hugs: That's got to be so frustrating

AFM...I'm getting frustrated with charting. I woke up 3 times last night...temped each time and just took an average of them. Will FF wait a couple of days before it gives cross hairs? I'm pretty sure I o'd Sunday or Monday but I don't have crosshairs. My temp is shifting but I don't know how accurate it is since I wake up a lot and don't sleep well.

hoping you get your BFP

I am not too disappointed this month, I figured we didn't have much of a chance since my husband left a few days before I ovulated. So unless his swimmers have glue guns with cement hidden in their pockets to cement themselves in I knew I couldn't expect anything. :giggle:

morning all! CD17 here and no sign of O. Last month was so clockwork it was amazing but this month just sucks (for lack of a better word)!

Still reading low on CBEFM and still neg OPK's. No pains or twinges in my ovary area. The only plus is that I do have more CM than last month.

I truly do think that adding an exercise routine and eating better has had an affect on my cycle. Of all the months to try to get fit and I pick this one! LOL

Congrats to yesterdays BFP's! I need to read and catch up with the ATTS from yesterday but I dis see Lori's digi!! Yeahhhhh

Good morning ladies!

Thanks for linking my chart!

DH is gone so it doesn't matter when I O, except I hope it's soon, so I get AF soon after he comes home and we can get started! If I O on time (cd 18-19) and the Clomid works, I should be due on my mom's birthday!! (6.16).

I can' wait for this upcoming cycle! Just opk'ing and temping to see when I O this month so I know when to expect AF.

Sorry about all the BFN's and cd1's.

Also, I wish I had a speculum so I could have pictures of my cervix like beautiful cervix. I can feel it, but it's way cooler to see it!

Good morning ladies! :bliss:

Jen - So good to see you back! I missed you so much! :bighug: Sorry the witch showed but it sounds like an awesome vacation! Now we just have to get knocked up together so we can hop on over to the May board! :yay:

Pam - I'm looking for yarn to spam you!

AFM - BIG fight with DH last night. Horrible. :yuck: But we talked afterwards and he apologized and so did I and it seems things are back on track. He just gets so stressed out sometimes and I feel like he takes it all out on me. Than man needs a chill pill :chill:

So....temp went back up to "normal" today...hoping it spikes tomorrow so that today is O...been having crampy ovaries yesterday and this morning.

Here is yesterday's OPK....I don't think its +, but its getting there. Sorry its blurry...phone pic you know:

http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f380/Amaggiepie/Photo-03183.jpg

It IS nice to see two lines on a stick for once. :giggle: Oh, and we tried out the preseed last night. We both really like it. It feels so...natural. Not all sticky and gross like other lubes. If DH didn't know I put it in, I don't think he would have noticed. :giggle:

Happy Tuesday!

Sorry your fighting, but at the same time, it's essential for a good relationship. How bored would we be if we were all the same and always agreed? (there, it's the silver lining lol!)

Thanks for the review on preseed. I meant to read back and see if yours got there yesterday since you were waiting on it. Mine came also (ordered it last thursday)...and nice to know it's nice lol!

AFM-cd6, temping this cycle. I notice some don't start to temp till after AF has gone, is that better? I noticed cd5 and cd6 were the same temp, and cd3 and 4 were lower...I'm on ff but didn't get the VIP membership yet..if no bfp this month, maybe next month i'll pay for it. Not sure how to share chart if not VIP

opks tell us when we have an lh surge, but you o 12-48 hours after your surge. so your pos opk detected the surge, and your surge didn't last long, and so now almost 48 hours later you're oing. hope that makes sense...

I 'think' that makes sense. So when I had a POS OPK on Sunday...that was the day to dtd even though I didn't O until possibly today. And yesterday, when I had a neg OPK my LH levels were low because I was about to O? I just want to make sure we dtd at the right time...I'm second guessing myself over here.

I guess with the neg and pos test it's just safe to say I O'd between yesterday and today and to stop stressing about it...right?!

According to her chart, she's like a week past when AF is due, when taking the averages or wahtever from her AF's since January. So in theory she should be able to take it at any time of the day, not necessarily with FMU right?

I really want her to POAS when I give it to her... SHE wanted to wait until THURSDAY morning to POAS :banghead: :lostit:

My first pregnancy, the test that finally said +, was taken at Planned Parenthood at 8 weeks (i'd had 3 - results in the previous 4 weeks). I think it was a couple days before DH's birthday.

With DD, the + test was a full week after my AF was due, and about 4 hours before I had to get on a plane to go to job training, so DH was the only person who knew.

Ok chart experts...some help please??
My body is confusing me. It is like my temps, CM and C position are not telling the same story. My cycles run from 24-28 days with the most common length being 26. I am on CD16 today but I thought my CM was looking ovulation Sat and Sun. I do think I have thick "hostile CM" often so I have been taking expectorant to help with that this cycle. I had to do that to get DS last time too. But then today I expected a temp spike and no spike. Also I woke to find my cervix high and soft. HHMMMM?? We DTD The last three days in case with a lube called conceive that is supposed to work like preseed. I only just learned about inserting it with an aplicater (thanks to you ladies!!) so I did that last night. But today despite a deposit from DH and the lube it is pretty dry in there. So confused! I know from last time thet I tend to have an LP of 11-12days, so I would expect to ov today or tomorrow at the latest. So where is the EWCM?? It came and went already. Why is my cervix high now? And hello temp spike where are you?? I wish these three symptoms could get together and tell me one story!:headscratch:

AFM CD23 and nothing. - opk's, no ferning, no ewcm, :sadno: :reaction: I mean seriously. my opk today was just a faint pink line. We did DTD last night and I noticed that there was certainly no need for preseed:giggle2: but it was slightly creamy and kinda wet. My temp this morning is very low, but DD woke up at 5am, I got up and brought her to bed but couldn't go back to sleep before the alarm went off at 6 to temp. Should I discard it?? That's true. Apparently this book is a bible for women from what I've been hearing, so it can't hurt to give it a shot I suppose. I'll probably forget to temp and chart some stuff, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it eventually!
I still don't know if I want to test while I'm in the middle of work! If it's a BFP, all I'll want to do is tell DH, and he's sleeping 'cause he works at 6pm! I think I'll at least wait until I get home tonight!

I don't know about a bible... but it sure helped me understand a LOT. What is polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)?
Polycystic (pah-lee-SIS-tik) ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a health problem that can affect a woman's menstrual cycle, ability to have children, hormones, heart, blood vessels, and appearance. With PCOS, women typically have:

high levels of androgens (AN-druh-junz). These are sometimes called male hormones, although females also make them.
missed or irregular periods
many small cysts (sists) in their ovaries. Cysts are fluid-filled sacs.

I'm not sure how they test sorry! But I know that one of the symptoms is getting tons of false positives on opks rendering them useless. Jenna used to tell me they were pretty much always "almost" positive one day then neg the next...repeat cycle over and over..yet she wouldn't O. That's what made me suggest you strictly go by temps and CM just in case this was your issue.

the do a transvaginal us. and check your ovaries. i had it done, but don't have it.

yeah temps and cm will defiantly tell you a lot. most people with pcos have abnormally long cycles, irregular cycles, and annovulatory cycles.

OOH, I think I have heard of that before! Thanks for the clarification!

You can temp during AF, but I don't think it really makes a difference. You can share your chart if you don't have a VIP membership. On the left of the page go to "sharing" and then "home page setup." Once you set it up, you can get a URL to link! HTH!

AFM: CD3 here. I will say, it's been so long since I've had to deal with AF (4 years now) that I've forgotten how miserable she is! :yuck: Oh, and I'm on the list twice. I shouldn't be under the "TEST" section, although that's where my chart is linked. :goodvibes: Thanks!

so, ummmm, confession time: even though i have had mixxed feelings about home birth and the potential for something to go wrong, i looked them up where we'll be moving....total cost w/out insurance is $2,500...and the site is pretty welcoming and reassuring, the main lady has been doing this for a very long time. Not sure what we'll do, but considering home birth now...(this is my 3rd, and the last one came pretty quick so i half expect a 3rd to be born at home or enroute lol!)

Could someone tell me the difference between the free membership and the paid membership on FF? My trial VIP is over in a couple days and I need to decide if I'm going to pay for it or not.

Basically, as long as I can still post a link to my chart, and enter in all the information, I'm happy. I have no idea how to use half the tools on that site yet.

ETA - and I'm already spending money on PreSeed and IC tests... I don't want to pay for subscriptions or software that i don't need to.

Pray it works out--if not I just have to have faith that all the bd we did Saterday--Sunday was enough.I'd had o cramping and pains since last Thursday--so I'm just glad to be in my 2ww.

If we dont catch it this month due to timeing,dd being sick etc..we'll just have to try again the next cycle.

Alright well I've tested with FRER after holding it for more than 6 hours and having next to nothing to drink and it's stark white.

I've had 2 faint lines on FRER during the weekend and I've had 5 faint lines with $tree and 1 darker line that I posted yesterday all within time limit.

I'm either completely nuts or am having a chemical pregnancy (I've never had one before so I don't know exactly what it is).

I've been feeling very crampy (af crampy that is) since this morning so my guess is I'm out for this cycle. I'll test again with fmu tomorrow but that will be my last test untill AF returns.

I knew my chances of being pregnant this month were slim so why am I so sad

Got it:thumbsup: I will have to look tonight...I'm at work and can't see photobucket pics which most of hyenacart is. Thanks so much for taking the time to look for me...I had NO idea what I was looking for:giggle:

I just went to the restroom and I totally have EWCM right now. Is it common to get that after you O? My OPK from yesterday was neg while the one from Sunday was Pos...which means I must've already O'd. What does everyone think???

I usually have fertile cm the day after O as well.

negative OPK

so pro OPK testers.. today is day 10... FF says possible O on day 14
how often should I test?

ITA with Heather..... twice a day till BFP!

:hugs: my last cycle was like that....... I had ewcm, but bfn opk's and my cervix never made it to SHO.

Well obviously FF did have my O date wrong. My temp has dropped and been low for like 4 or 5 days now but no AF. Just by chance yesterday I thought *maybe just *maybe FF was wrong and maybe my temp was low because I possibly could be gearing up to O. I thought about trying another OPK and this is what I got.
http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x23/BlessedMama_photos/8-17OPKs002.jpg

So maybe I will O afterall. Todays looks like CD 26 for me.

:lostit: go catch that eggy!

JenV- Yay for a dip! :yay:You know I'm rooting for you!!! I may TAB. I'm just way too stressed over this. I know I could still O, but if the Clomid didn't make me O sooner, I'm afraid it won't fix the LPD.

have you missed af?! a chemical is when you get a bfp and are only a few days late for your period to start. :( i had one back in may, it felt no different than a regular af, just that i had a bfp and then i had a neg blood test. :( i really hope they were just evaps or antibody strips mama. :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

:hugs: :hugs: :hugs: I really think there has to be a glitch with some of the FRERs right now too. I had a couple very faint BFPs recently and I had not even Od. I have also had $Tree and some from a different $ store do the same thing. I thought they were evaps but they came up in the timeframe.

Yes I emailed Babywishes where the OPKs came from and they say they are +. If any part of the line is as dark or darker than the control it is considered + on their tests. IRL it was much more obvious that it was darker than the control. I had just thought I had seen a + one before but when I saw this one I could tell the difference. for a temp rise tomorrow.

Gah! Ladies, don't scare me with stories of false BFP's on the FRER's.... that is what crzydrgn85 is going to be POAS on tonight!

ETA - Ok I have a few things that NEED to be done at work before I go home, and then it's dinner with DH and DD, and off to crzydrgn's house to see what the FRER says! :crossfingers: for her... I wont' be back on until after that... so we'll let you all know in approx 3-4 hours I guess!

 Bye bye!

:hugs: mama. it does look like you caught the tail end of the surge... hopefully you did enough BD'ing in that time. It's so hard to know when to take OPK's... I feel like you almost have to take them your entire cycle :banghead:

I know what you mean. Going by this insert with the OPKs I should O within 8-48hours of getting my + one. So I guess I should O anytime between yesterday and tomorrow. Maybe I am Oing now or am about to. We did BD the past 2 days and dh will be home tonight too so I should be good.

Thanks for the hugs. I took Clomid this month in hopes of fixing my late/nonexistent Os and LPD. Clomid is supposed to make you O 5-7 days after the last pill and I took it days 3-7. I'm just bummed that it didn't fix my problem.

JenV- Yay for a dip! :yay:You know I'm rooting for you!!! I may TAB. I'm just way too stressed over this. I know I could still O, but if the Clomid didn't make me O sooner, I'm afraid it won't fix the LPD.

that's what progesterone is for! If your progesterone is low at 7 dpo then you can go on supps! If it isn' tin time for this cycle you'll know for the next one. I'm gently urging you too keep trying for at least one more cycle since you really JUST now started figureing out what the issues are. :hugs:

JenV- I will be stalking your chart! 5 dpo sounds like a good time for implantation!

AFM- 8 dpo, feeling super weird. I don't want to get my hopes up though.

:giggle2: Isn't 5 dpo too early for implantaion? I thought it was usually between 7-10 dpo. Is there some other theory behind the 5 dpo dip? I see it alot on charts around here. KMFC that your weird feelings turn into MS soon  !

Wow, you ladies know how to talk.

I asked a few days ago with no response, I am sure it is easy for questions to get swallowed up in all this chatter. Does anyone know if soy isoflavones should be done only one cycle every so often? I thought I read somewhere that it can negatively affect your cycle if you take it beyond two or three months. :headscratch:

i heard 5 months and then you stop for 2-3 and then you go again. :)

eta - Soy Info..
-40mg tabs of Soy Isoflavons
-No more then 5 days per cycle (can cause infertility after that)
-No more then 200mg per day!!
-Take Soy Isoflavones, like Clomid, on CD 1-5, or 2-6, or 3-7, or 4-8, or 5-9.
-Seems to help when people start low and then up the dose the
last 2 days of it.

(Heres some info found on the web about soy AND FF)

"Soy Isoflavones" is a natural plant derived phytoestrogen (phyto means plant), which is an anti-estrogen, just like Clomid. Both are known as SERMs (Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators). It works by fooling your brain into thinking its estrogen levels are low. This causes your body to reslease more FSH & LH which helps stimulate follicle production (same as Clomid). You take Soy Isoflavones, like Clomid, on CD 1-5, or 2-6, or 3-7, or 4-8, or 5-9. It is not thought to cause infertility if it is only taken for 5 days a month. There is not much published information available on it regarding TTC, because it is "natural", not patented by the pharmaceutical companies, and not FDA approved. Most doctors will also not recommend it for this reason.

Recently, many women on FertilityFriend.com have been taking 150-160mg a day for 5 days at the beginning of the menstrual cycle (on days previously mentioned). Side effects reported are similar to Clomid. These vary from increased number of headaches to hot flashes. It has been suggested that taking the dosage before bedtime lessens the side effects.

I was doing some research on FertilityFriend.com to uncover just how many girls have recently conceived while on Soy Isoflavones and what days they took the supplement. I found a girl who took it on CD 1-5, 200mg Soy Isoflavones, and she got a strong BFP at 15dpo that cycle. Her chart can be viewed here. Her HCG levels at 15dpo were 443 and at 18dpo HCG 1,347. Impressive. I found a survey on FF that was interesting as well:

How many cycles of Soy did it take you to get a BFP?
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y112/krysperz/soybfp.gif

What was interesting is that 75% of the women who tried Soy Isoflavones got a BFP in their FIRST cycle trying. I checked the survey more recently and the number has jumped to 77% since I took the screenshot.

While Soy Isoflavones can help bring on an earlier or stronger Ovulation for these women, I must note that in some women it did not help at all. Just like Clomid doesn't always work for everyone. Right now there are a lot more women trying Soy Isoflavones so I will continue to monitor their progress and report back any news I find.

You can buy a bottle of Soy Isoflavones at any health food store.
(Walmart - $4)

Lol maybe you are right... I had a dip at 6 dpo, but I have a dip pretty much every cycle. I read on one of those FF tidbits that they are more common in pregnancy charts though! And I don't think 5 dpo is too early... maybe you just have a little sprinter bean.

Ok here are my OPK progression pics. They start out top to bottom yesterday afternoon, yesterday evening, early this afternoon and then the bottom was just a tad bit ago. I bet I caught the tail end of the surge yesterday. Oh how I wish I had started using my OPKs earlier but I had no idea I was about to O. I thought I was waiting on AF thanks to FF. :banghead: Now I get to go through the 2ww all over again. :giggle:

:lostit:
have you missed af?! a chemical is when you get a bfp and are only a few days late for your period to start. :( i had one back in may, it felt no different than a regular af, just that i had a bfp and then i had a neg blood test. :( i really hope they were just evaps or antibody strips mama. :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

woo...tornado warning. ugh.

and i found out i'm the mother of a snob at school. and she's crushing on/dating some boy that another girl wanted. REALLY?! this stuff starts in KINDERGARTEN?!?! :thud:

Wowzas, this thread is crazy today! I don't have time to do too many persies....so :bighug: to all the AFs and BFNs.

Jen - So good to see you back! I missed you so much! :bighug: Sorry the witch showed but it sounds like an awesome vacation! Now we just have to get knocked up together so we can hop on over to the May board! :yay:

AFM - BIG fight with DH last night. Horrible. :yuck: But we talked afterwards and he apologized and so did I and it seems things are back on track. He just gets so stressed out sometimes and I feel like he takes it all out on me. Than man needs a chill pill :chill:

Oh, and we tried out the preseed last night. We both really like it. It feels so...natural. Not all sticky and gross like other lubes. If DH didn't know I put it in, I don't think he would have noticed. :giggle:

Yeah, AF showing up the day before our 1 yr. anniversary was kinda lame....but on a high note, dh is REALLY into trying to make this cycle THE cycle. That's a nice change from the "if it happens, it happens" bs he talks about. :giggle: Silly man.

:hugs: Sorry to hear dh and you got in a big fight. Matt and I rarely fight, but when we do it's because he's stressed about work. And it's always over really stupid things. Eh. Fighting every once in a while is good for your relationship. :hugs:

Oooh, thanks for reminding me that I need to order some preseed! :lostit:

Does anyone know if soy isoflavones should be done only one cycle every so often? I thought I read somewhere that it can negatively affect your cycle if you take it beyond two or three months. :headscratch:

Soy should be broken up every few months, but doesn't have as much of a negative effect on the body like clomid does if taken for a certain amount of cycles.

On the other hand, soy can induce O'ing earlier....but, like in my case, it can delay O'ing. I ended up O'ing 2-3 days before the day AF would have normally been due. :banghead: Granted, that would have been nice to know so dh and I could have BD'd up a storm. Oh well. On to May babies!! :)

I've heard up to 400mg a day?? FWIW, I took 200mg. Definitely get them at Wal-Mart. Waaaaay cheaper than a Walgreens and such.

I went to the doctor today. Not my normal doctor or my RE, but just a doctor. We live in a small town, so I know all of them so it was no big deal. Urine test was neg. Then he examined me and said that "something must be going on in there". He listened to all the symptoms I am having--the nausea, sore breasts, cravings, headache and dizziness, etc. He agreed it all sounded like a baby doing this. He sent me for a blood serum. Those results came back negative! What in the world! Could it be at 14 dpo that I am not registering with a blood test? What is the most dpo that you all have still been testing neg but really were preg. I feel like I am--right down to the rubbing of the tummy--which by the way has gotten bigger. ( I got HUGE right away with my son too--I think it must run in the family).

I felt half quilty--but we were quick and she was ok.
Got done and she came in while I was laying down afterward and we snuggled until I had to cook a late dinner.
Luckily dh was ok w/ eggs over easy, toast and oj.Ds wanted spaghetti o's and I had a salad w/ leftover chicken on top and a yogurt.Dd just wanted her gaterade.
That's all she's wanted,that and water.

Thought she was done getting sick--:yuck: :banghead: Poor baby was sick after we got up from snuggling, before I had to cook.
At least she was easily cleaned up and THANK GOD we dont have carpeting.

Pray this blows over quickly and no one else gets it.I put her in Goodnight pants because she cant stop pooping.:yuck: Luckily I had some leftover from when she had rotavirus.NOW that was bad.

totally hear you on that one! as lurky and distanced from obsessing as i become during my long arse wait to o, i sure get back into the swing of things come dtd time, oh yes i do! there's no way to guess my o date, but i've already figured out an EDD range... the whole 'not going to be obsessed' thing? yeah, it's hopeless :roflmbo:

Ok so I have a weird question. I had taken an antibiotic for a UTI and now I think I have a yeast infection. I got the one day Monistat stuff but I should be Oing today or tomorrowish if my OPK was correct. Should I wait to use it? Would it damage my eggo? Ugh and not like I want dh with a yeast infection or anything but I mean geeee I wait for EVER to O and then this happens. WWAAAHHHHHHH :banghead: What do you guys think? I wanna cry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:dunno: I've never had a yeast infection, so no clue. I would think it'd be okay though?? Isn't it just a one time thing? And it should only be killing off the yeast...or whatever it does (sorry, I'm an idiot when it comes to yeast infections). I don't see why that'd hurt it?? Unless you mean the sperm...in which case, don't mind my rambles and hopefully someone informed can tell you. :hugs:

Better just dtd, and use the monistat tomorrow. Men are not as likely to have symptoms of yeast infection anyways, but if he does you can put some vagisil on him:giggle:

Ummm yeah I was worried about the sperm and the eggie being damaged by the chemicals in the monistat. Not sure what it would do but I didn't want to do anything that may mess up anything.

:giggle2: Ok so maybe that is what that tube they put in the box was for huh. The little pill thingie and inserter for me and the tube of cream for him. Ahhh how thoughtful of the Monistat makers, a His and Hers kit. :roflmbo:

I wouldn't use it to be honest. Why take the chance? I'd go for a good dose of live acidophilus (at any walmart/pharmacy/gnc)...pretty cheap and highly effective against many types of yeast....it's what's in yogurt that helps prevent/treat minor infections....OR I would ask my GYN/OB to call in some diflucan (fluconazol-sp?)

Ok I'm actually up and I'm gonna go work out. I've been playing with both my charts this morning. I took out all the ferning results on FF and just going by CM and temp. I did delete yesterdays temp too. FF said I peaked on Sat but still waiting for the thermal shift. TCOYF software I left the ferning in and it says I am 8DPO. I am going to watch the temps and wait the full two weeks and if AF is a no show will test but I don't want to see any BFN's anymore right now. Gonna keep on DTD until something is confirmed though. lol . Oh yeah Good morning!!

Wow...what a gorgeous BFP....congrats !!!!:lostit:

I was just looking at FF, and it has AF showing up on my birthday. I do believe getting a BFP would be quite the nice birthday present. Plus, I told dh that a BFP was what I wanted for my birthday after bringing him to meet the Hillstrand brothers (fair trade, right? :giggle:).

Annnd, I checked EDD if I got pregnant this cycle, and it'd be my brother's birthday.

 I told myself I wasn't going to be as obsessed this cycle. So much for that idea!

I told myself I wasn't gonna be obsessed either....now that just went in the poopster now did it :giggle: Wishing you beautiful BFP birthday gift sweetie

Not to steal crzydrgn's thunder.. but I'm feeling majorly nausous and ugghh the last 2 days... :crossfingers:

Hope you get a BFP....it would be so cool for you to be pregnant at the same time as you BFF. I was pregnant at the same time as my sister with DS#3....here's what all our conversations sounded like:

:blahblah: Do your breasts hurt...are you bloated....oh my god I think my water broke :giggle2:

actually from what i read online the pill is what you should definitely NOT use if you're trying to get or are pg. the creams are completely safe whilst pg. ask me how i know :giggle: i agree though that good old yogurt inserted works fine too but takes longer imo.
