I'll mainly be pumping the occational bottle so I just want a manual pump. I've had an Avent Isis in the past that I really liked but I see that Medela also has a manual pump on the market. Did anyone prefer one of these over the other? Or any other suggestions?
Thanks!

I use the Medela Harmony for a hand pump and I like it just fine. It's the only hand pump I've tried though.

I've tried MANY, I loved medela harmony, has the two suction types. One to get milk let down and one when milk does let down. Just like the electrics but manual! SUPER easy to use.

I'm a huge fan of the isis. I've tried the harmony also but it didn't work as well for me. I can express milk as fast with the isis as my pisa if I am just doing one side.

I use the Lansinoh....28 bucks at Walmart. I get more milk using it than I do with the hospital grade double electric. Don't understand why....But that's my favorite.

I think pumps work different for different women.
I have used the ISIS before (other kids) and could pump as much milk as with an electric, now with this baby not much (almost nada).
Tried once the Harmony and did not like it, I have the one given to me at the hospital, should try it to see if it works for me this time.
There should be a place where woman could try out breastpumps LOL, once you buy one you are stuck since they are not returnable (and I truly understand why).
I got a Freestyle this time and sold it on Ebay after pumping bright red blood 2 times, and this pumps is loved by many many woman.
Choosing a breastpump is sooo hard.
If you want a Harmony let me know, I have 3 of them actually.
The hospital gave me 3 kits to use with the Symphony.
I am returning the Symphony today so I dont need the pump body, I can send you free the whole set so you can try.
I will keep one, so if another mama needs one just pm me.
upppss...I see this thread is old.
I am sure you already found a pump.
