If I start thinking during the day "oh I need to go pump!" then I have to immediately start thinking other things or my milk will let down. I try not to let it cause I hate losing that little bit of extra milk and also I seem to get a better pump amount if it doesn't let down before. So I try to start thinking of other things and if I yell NOOOO in my head that usually holds it off for a while. LOL what do you think of? :giggle:

No, you're not the only one. When I think about pumping or nursing, I let down. Actually, I felt a tingle just typing on here...hehe!

You have cosmic mind-powers. It doesn't work for me, but I wish it did.

Lol. It really does work for me for a few minutes. If I keep thinking about it I will letdown immediately! So I think NO NO NO or about funny things like squash or tractors or..... whatever. :)

I have had a slow let down on and off and one of the ways I would help it move along and come down is by closing my eyes and thinking of the milk coming down....its funny but it works so well that I kind of do it all the time now when I start to nurse. I didn't know others did this too. How funny, the mind is really a powerful thing.

I do the same thing when pumping. Think letdown thoughts. :) Otherwise I would be sitting there pumping all day and barely have anything to show for my efforts except for sore nipples.

Ha! I've let down in my sleep before because I dreamed about nursing (as if I don't do it enough during the day, I dream about it too!). Yes, thinking about letting down usually works for me. Thinking about my DS's soft downy head rooting around down there also does the trick.

Lol, I always think "NO NO NO NOT YET!" Never works to stop it, but to get my milk to letdown, I just think of my little one nursing or the feeling I get in my breast when my milk lets down and it helps a lot!
