I'm pretty sure my dd has them. It looked like a zit on her cheek to start. Then we saw one on her chest. I just went to put her in the bath and within 2 days, she now has about 20 of these spots. I took her to the doctor with me last week, I'm guessing she got it from there???? Anyways, she's not running a fever and she says they're not itchy :headscratch: Is that possible with chicken pox??? She hasn't been vaxed since she was 3.

Sounds like the pox to me, sounds like her body is doing a good job fighting it too. She might get fever/be itchy in the next couple of days though. Hope it passes quickly for you and your LO.

Sounds like Chicken pox to me too.
Some kids get really sick with a fever and everything others are just itchy and otherwise feel fine.
I did lots of oatmeal baths and then let Ds drip dry in a bath towel while he watched cartoons. and Calamine lotion when he was dry. Poor kid, hope they get better soon.

Since she had one vaccination, I think she is more likely to get a mild (<50 pox) case. I hope she stays in good spirits and fever-free for you.

My DS got about 7 red spots on his back that were doctor confirmed as chicken pox. But his were from a reaction to his second chicken pox vaccine. He had no fever, he said they didn't itch, he wasn't sick at all. According to the doctor, they weren't contagious so he still went to school. I got chicken pox the natural way in 3rd grade and only got a few spots, they didn't bother me at all.

My ds currently has mildly itchy red bumps covering his belly/ chest, and a few on his face and arms. No fever. Thought they were chicken pox, doc says nope, some other virus. I would take her in, partly because it would be a good idea to have it confirmed for future referance.

LUCKY! I've had my kids exposed twice in the last month or so and they still haven't gotten them. I keep joking with dh that I'm going to wake the boys up every hour and feed them lots of junk food to lower their immune systems so next time they will get them. I am against the vax for my kids but I have heard of kids breaking out with them after getting the shot. Can you post pics of the spots?
