Hey there! I decided to try my hand at dying prefolds, and since I had a bunch of Gerber cloth diapers around for use as burp cloths, I figured I might as well dye them too. ^^ I also tried dying a few G Diapers covers-- I'd heard that the orange might be covered up by Fuschia, which unfortunately didn't turn out true for me, and mostly left me with several Fuschia Burp Clothes, and a still decidedly orange G Diaper cover. Since I -hate- pink and any variation thereof, I figured I'd offer these up to whomever wants them. ^^
They were soaked in RIT dye over the stove for a few minutes-- apparently not long enough, as they're pretty spotty looking. For some reason, the Fuschia is -more- spotty looking than any of the other four colours I tried, and there are really dark tiny little spots all over the place, while the rest of it often looks a little tie-dyed.
I stuck them in the washer to rinse after dying, but apparently that wasn't enough, and some of the colours leaked on each other a little when I put them in the dryer, so there are some -very- faint blue marks on some of these as well. You can kinda see them in the picture.
Still, they're free for shipping, and they're pink, and they work as burp cloths, so I'm sure someone wants 'em, right? ^^ You may want to re-rinse and wash them in detergent, as I haven't done that yet-- just to make sure they don't bleed on other things when you start using them and washing them regularly. Here's a picture-- I have 8 of them-- they do fit in a large envelope, so, assuming no weight issues, that's about $7.10 shipping.
