Mom was diagnosed with Stage 3, triple negative breast cancer is January. At that time, they also found a tiny tumour on her knee, but they were sure it was non-cancerous. She just completed her chemo for the breast cancer, and just had her bone scan again. They found that the tiny tumour is not so tiny anymore. It's spreading into the bones of her knee.
She can't find a specialist anywhere in our area that is able to help her, so she is being sent to a major hospital a few hours away.
It's been a really hard year for her. She's a single mom with two girls still at home (9 and 15). If you could please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, I ould appreciate it.

Prayers, mama. My mom is battling stage 4 colon cancer right now. Coming up on a year in November.

I am so sorry mama. :hugs: My mom and her sister were diagnosed with breast cancer and lung cancer respectively. My aunt's was caught way too late and accidentally (a chest x-ray for pneumonia), so she was literally beyond treatment. The month before my mom had been diagnosed with breast cancer and went through not quite a year of chemo and radiation. She ended up being allergic to the chemo, so they had to cut it short.
I just wanted you to know a little about my experience with it. It was very scary for me, as we've never had cancer creep into our family before, then both women on my mom's side find out they have it. Very alarming indeed. Now I most certainly will keep a close eye on myself and my daughter. I'm an only child and my father was right there by her side so I can't even imagine what your mom is going through. My thoughts and prayers are with both you and your mother. I pray that friends and family are able to be there for your mom and her younger two, especially since she has to go to a distant hospital.
