Tips for Avent Isis?

Hi Pumping Mamas!
I have a Medela Freestyle which I mostly use but today I dug my Avent Isis (used once) out of the basement, thinking it would be easy just to quickly pump one side while DD is nursing on the other without having to go through the set up of the Freestyle. I couldn't get a drop with the Isis! The suction seemed to be working fine. Any suggestions/tiops? TIA!

Is it the manual pump? Thats the one I have. It takes a while to get used to... The first few times I tried it I couldnt even letdown for it!!! The suction has to be positioned JUST RIGHT for it to work properly... Its a pain but I only pump occasionally so I cant justify shelling out a lot for a great pump...
