i am taking Zofran right now. It helps...mildly. It gets me through the day. But that's it. Just the day. by 4pm I am dying again. Can I take a B6 to get me through the night?

Zofran for me is a $10 co-pay, and it is helping, just not a TON. And I'm taking stool softeners I just need to get through those last 5 hours of the day...

You can. You might pair it with Unisom. B6/Unisom/Zofran is a pretty classic HG cocktail.

agreed. that trifecta got me through my last HG pregnancy enough to work and be a single parent to 2 other small children and just function like a normal human being.

by the way, I did find that after a while of use(like by month 6???) I was getting REALLY sleepy taking the unisom so if you can function without it until nighttime, that might be better. I couldn't though, especially since I worked in a restaurant.:yuck: But I delivered in month 7 so it wasn't long to suffer through.

good l uck.

I took them all together. Zofran helped tremendously with my last pregncncy, but this time I have been like you and it has helped only mildly. The unisom and B6 didn't really help me any more than just the zofran did so I didn't keep up with those. The zofran did start to help more around 14 weeks for me. I still have some pretty bad days, but it is bearable now. I hope you start feeling better!

that was me! Zofran was a miracle last pregnancy! This one, not so much :(

I have B6 in the house, but no Unisom. Can I take the B6 w/out the Unisom? How many times can I take it?

You can definitely take it w/o the Unisom. It's better to take B6 in small doses often. The body can only deal with so much at a time and you'll pee out large doses. 25-50mgs at a time, with a total daily dose in the 150-200mg range. There is data that prolonged use of high doses (over 1000mg) of B6 can lead to nerve damage, so use only as much as you need.

Have you checked out helpher.org?

I was put on the Zofran pump at about week 12 and it was a God send. Although the needle sticks hurt and I hate needles I have only thrown up twice since getting on it. Before the pump regular tablet zofran and ODT was not working. Unfortunately I had a reaction to the needles because I have skin allergy and had to get off it but, it got me past the worst and I 'd do it a million times over. I most definitely beat throwing up 30-40 times a day. Helpher.org got me through the toughest times, knowing I wasn't alone was amazing. :) Best wishes momma.

How much Zofran are you taking? Chances are you could be taking more than you are.

I am only taking 1 Zofran pill...B6 is amazing! I took one around noon and one around four and feel better now than i have all week! I most definitly do NOT have HR. Just m/s amplified by the other 3 kiddos who need me at my peak preformance ;)

I'm glad you found some relief!

I was going to ask the same thing, how much Zofran you are taking & how often. I know different drs give differing amounts. I have 8 mg pills that I can take every 8 hours aka 3 times a day. I'm 26 weeks now but still need the Zofran badly.
