Update: Thanks for the prayers. DH got the position!!!!!! The weekend went beautifully. We had a great meeting at the church and stayed with a wonderful lady overnight. When we got to her house, she had borrowed tons of toys for DD and DS. She even bought DD a Dora doll and a child's sleeping bag and DS an Elmo doll for them to take home! Everyone we met was so nice and welcoming.
DH ended up with a 93% yes vote and 7% no from the congregation. (The senior pastor at the church jokingly said he was jealous because he only received an 80% yes).
We will be moving Thursday of this week to the house that a church member GAVE the church for us to live in (free of charge)! Another church member will be driving his trailer to our house for us to move everything in (so we don't have to rent a truck). I am still in shock over how gracious everyone is.
DH and I are sad that we'll be leaving our parents/families here, but so excited about this new part of our lives. We are ready to go!
We are in Jackson TN this weekend for my husband to be voted on by a church as their new youth pastor. If they vote yes this will be DH's first job in the field he was called to. We both desire this but are nervous about it. Please pray all goes smoothly and if we are supposed to be in Jackson, it will work out. Thank you.
