I know that this time of year can be very tough for many families to provide Christmas toys for their LOs (believe me, I've been there). I've read lots of posts of mamas whose DH's have lost jobs, they have lost jobs, etc... We always donate a box or two of toys before Christmas (things DS has outgrown or doesn't use anymore) to Goodwill, but I thought it would be nice to offer them to a mama on here.
I have two boxes of gender neutral books, craft items, and toys-all new or in EUC. These will be suitable mostly for kids 3 and under. I REALLY want these to go to mamas who could use them and not for resale (I know I can't really control that, but if you don't need them, please don't post for this thread).

:hugs: mama we just went through this and we lost our house because the bank didn't care and refused to work with us. We were homeless just last month:cry: The court gave us 14 days to get everything out and to find a place (no laws in RI to protect family's with children) It has been extremely hard and my DH has since lost his job, but we are trying to make the best of it.
I hope everything works out for you and yours, I'll keep my positive thoughts with you:goodvibes:

I have four beautiful kiddoes * two are my step but dont tell me that..:P* My husband has had his hours cut back, and me not being able to work, with the little WAHM thread i just dont bring in enough money to really help us out but it gives me the feeling i am doing something. I dont no what i will do this X mas. MY husband is about to work 20 hours a week, when he use to work 50 hours. On top of that when it rains he can't work, as he build power lines, so not safe. it has just been s struggle. THANK YOU for offering this! Neither DH nor I are working right now, even though it was a choice for him (grad school) and not a choice for me (company went under.) BUT now I get to be a SAHM to our 3 month DD, and it's totally worth it to scrape by on our savings and cut back on things we're discovering we really never needed. We've both started appreciating things a little bit more now!

Oh mama. This is so sweet of you, it just makes me want to cry!!! I was actually thinking of doing the same thing, we are pretty broke but I can afford to mail a big box parcel post to a mama who may not have anything to give her kids for Christmas. What a wonderful example you are setting for your kids. Maybe tomorrow DD and I will start going through her toys and see what is in good condition and that I can pass on.

What an amazing and thoughtful idea. Please enter us. Our house went into foreclosure this month and we are trying to figure out our next step. My husband is a contractor and the last year has been awful. We are barely getting by but our little one brings us all the smiles right now. I figured he is still young enough to not mind not having any gifts but this would be just wonderful. I know any of these mamas will be so happy to have these toys. Thank you for your kind heart!

I would like to enter, I have 2 kids, and my daughters birthday is 12 days before christmas, so money is tight. We are a single (small) income family, and I have no idea how I am going to be able to get throgh this season...
