it not only takes vitamins out of you, and water, but basic nourishment as well. so you should increase your food and water intake to make sure your body isn't losing out on calories or nutrition.
how old is baby?

Try to up your calories between feedings. I have low blood sugar but it gets really bad after feedings if I don't eat enough.
Also nursing does release hormones that can make some feel quite sleepy but it wears off a few min. After feeding.

Are you feeling sick like nauseous or sick like really worn out? Sometimes, I felt both...but it got better with time. When DD was younger (and didn't get distracted while nursing), I would try to have a healthy snack and juice or water while she nursed. This helped a lot. And make sure you're getting enough calories and protein during the day.
