Hi!
This is my second time posting here. I have a 6 month old baby girl. Since before she was born I was planning on trying to CD. I fell into the convinience of disposibles for the first 2 months. Then I finally decided to start off small and bought a gDiaper starter kit. I really liked it. The problem was that the starter kit came with flushable liners and a pack of those are actually more expensive than regular disposables. And to top it off I'm on septic so I can't flush them. She eventually grew out of the smalls and never got around to going off to buy some more. I didn't want to buy another starter kit cause I wanted to try prefolds in the gPants and still had a full pack of liners. Finally this past weekend I found gPants alone at BRU without the liners. So I want to now get into actual CDing.
I have to admit I'm a little scared LOL.
I know you're all probably thinking...why didn't you just order all of this online? The problem is that to start it's so expensive. I got laid off last February. My company decided to get rid of my department so off I went. At that point finding a job was nearly impossible and even more so with a big ol' belly. So I became a SAHWife and as of July I'm a SAHM too. A job all on its on either way but obviously with out pay. :rolleyes:
So if I want to do this I need to start off small and have sposies to fall back on as I build up my stash. Spending $200+ to start off the bat is not an option right now.
Here is where all you fall in this little equation. My area isn't really known for CDing or baby wearing and sometimes even BFing! I'm pretty rare around here! At least where shopping for all of this is concerned. Oh what the heck I'm just gonna say it...I live in Hollister. I have to travel to the Monterey area or Santa Cruz area if I want to get any of this stuff. I've looked around Salinas and can't find anywhere that sells this stuff. Or is there and I just passed it up?
Around town, people who see DD in my Moby stop me and ask what it is and where to get it :eek: When I tell them the best place to find them are in Monterey or Santa Cruz area they get turned off at having to travel. So because of all the inquiries and lack of places to shop for them...I became an independant seller of Moby Wraps :mrgreen:
So can you ladies please give me a list of stores or places that sells stuff for CDing? I really want BG AIO's too!
Really anything baby related I'm interested in...workshops, baby fairs...etc!
