There is a store in MA and I spoke to a woman there & she'd be willing to come to NH (Manchester) to do a party. She said all parties vary depending on need.. but usually they go over cloth diapering for anyone who might be new to it (me) & there will be chances to win small prizes & to place orders. She said there is also a small amount of cash & carry for those who'd like to bring some home right away.
Just trying to see what the turn out might be if I went ahead with it, because I don't think I know anyone personally who would benefit from it at all (all my friends/family are either dead set against cloth or out of diapers)
I'm thinking I probably wouldn't try it until after my little one is born (end of March) Maybe early April so it's not so gross out??

I'm in Waltham MA but it sounds like fun!! I may be able to come, but like a weekend afternoon would be easiest kuz its a hike. I don't know any CD moms in Mass yet, so I'm looking for some mommies. BUT I would say that in the first few weeks after having a baby you will definitely NOT be up to having a party! You may not want to do that to yourself. Starting cloth can be overwhelming, but once you get the hang of it, its pretty easy. It is better to be able to have baby and try stuff on and see what you think, but it may be easier for you to have an idea what you want to do before the baby gets here. Just things to think about!! Cloth is very addictive once you start!

I would definitely have to schedule it on a weekend afternoon (as long as they'd come then) I'll see how I feel in the first few days after baby... I'm not taking any time off work (home daycare) so I'm hoping I'll just be ready for anything. Wishful thinking maybe ;) I suppose if I can get a handle on life in the next 8 weeks before he's born, I could schedule it then too. I'll see what I can do!
I will definitely get back to everyone!! It's Merrimack Valley Diapers, btw :)

Weekday mornings work for me as well. Would she bring trainers? That is all I am interested in buying ATM.
