Thanks ladies! I was wanting it to us in a Radian, since it is their product I was thinking *maybe* it would be safe:headscratch:

It seems to me that it should be safe since it's from the manufacturer, but I would call and ask questions about whether it's considered after-market since it doesn't actually come with the seats.

I was always told anything that does not come with the seat is considered "after market", BUT I see what you are saying since its made by Sunshine kids and shown in one of their carseats (right?). MAybe its safe to use just in other sunshine kids products? That's definitely one I would call the manufacturer and ask. Can't hurt, right?

It was made to be used in the radians specifically. It does not change where the haness passes through the seat. If you are worried, test it. Order it from somewhere w/ returns, put child in w/ the protector, tighten the harness, remove it and see if the harness still fits in an accepable way. It should.

I have one in my radian- I would think it is safe since it's also made my SK.

i would think its safe - its not like its will add a bunch of bulk and it doesnt interfere with how the harness connects. it wouldnt add any more bulk than having a diaper on, from what it looks like, so i dont think it would be unsafe. but im not a carseat expert.

I'd call as well. You could always use a folded prefold. That works really well and is cheaper :)

SKJP will tell you it is safe. If you have a real question (though I don't think he is the be-all-end-all car seat god, you can talk to Russ. I think it is ext 2 to speak with him.

Skjp says that it's approved for use, doesn't void warranties, etc.
At DH's urging, we bought 2 w/ our Radians. But I'll tell you, theyre pretty difficult to work with. Kinda bunches up. We're taking a pretty long drove again soon, & I'm thinking of trying it one more time.
