As a lot of you know this is my first baby. So I am full of questions :headscratch:. So being 37 weeks and 3 days, I today feel like I have a softball between my legs! Only occasional braxton hicks ctrx (finally realized what those feel like a few weeks ago) so no active labor yet. Anyone else feel this way? And do you remember it with your other babies?

yep, that is how I feel (and felt with the others at around this time) but I am having contractions more often and they are more painful this time around. I am still not in ANY hurry to have this baby - she can wait...

Since Logan's breech, I feel like things are feeling completely different this time. I keep feeling his kicks way, way down. I told DH I could swear he's gonna break my water or just kick his way through my cervix. With my DS1, the first thing that gave me a clue I was in labor was when I started spotting a little bit. Sure enough, my contractions became VERY obvious within about 8 hours.

I was induced with my son so I have no clue what Ill do when I go into labor and what my signs will be.. I have been cramping on and off for the last few weeks but today it has gotten worse today which is a good thing in my opinion..lol
Im hoping Ill have some obvious signs like bloody show, losing mucus plug, major contractions.. something..lol

Hi, jumping in from DDC Nov. With my first, the day I went into labor I had to walk a lot at work and everytime I'd start, it felt like DS was going to fall right out if I didn't walk super slow. Also felt like I would pee myself if I didn't pay conscious attn to that feeling. My first cxtion was at 5pm. So you may be getting closer. Have you started to eff and dil??? So exciting!!!!

With my first, I didn't realize I was in labor, my back was just hurting. I ended up waking up to pee at night and it started hurting more, I don't know when my water broke but I think it was when I peed. With my second, the whole day, I felt like i was peeing on myself a tiny bit every few minutes, I'm guessing that was contractions. They started hurting later that night and my water broke about 30 mins later. I had a short labor with my second too, my water broke around 10:30pm and he was born at 1:41am.

I, too, was induced with my first and am hoping beyond hope to labor on my own this time around. I never experienced anything I would call a BH or a contraction with DD, but managed to be 3-4 cm dilated for weeks prior to her birth. At this point I don't think I've had any BH or contractions, but am dilated to a 1 so far (at 36 weeks). I am also much more active (standing/walking/hurrying at work for 10+ hours a day) now than I was with DD, so I'm hoping that makes a difference.

I am due June 3rd as well but I have no signs at all! At least none that I am recognizing yet. The baby moved a little yesterday. This baby has been so content head down and its back along my left side. Yesterday it shifted and seemed to put its back on my right side. Now I'm just not sure but it seems so much more active now that it moved, and it was pretty active before. My mom thinks that the baby will slow down before I go into labor, but I don't know if that's true or not. It gets the hiccups every few hours now, that is something that just started a few weeks ago.

So has anyone mistaken contractions for baby moving? I keep thinking maybe I am getting braxton hicks but I think it's the baby moving. I don't know, but I sure wouldn't mind if the baby decided to come out and introduce itself!!!!!

With my first I lost my mucus plug on a Sunday, went for a checkup on Monday morning, was 1 cm and went into labor that evening. My water broke in the hosptal in hard labor. 16 hours of labor from first contraction to birth.
This baby I'm having Braxton Hicks like crazy!! At least 4 a day for the past 2 weeks. I dropped a bit a few days ago so I can breathe now, yay!

Heck, this is my 4th and I still have no clue what I'm waiting/watching for, so don't feel bad for not knowing, lol!

My water broke before any (feel-able) contractions with Ruthie - pretty obvious sign. I was induced with Zech and Isaac was a c-sec. So I really have NO clue.
And going by the ctx rules (4mins apart, lasting 1min, for an hour; more than 6 in an hour - those are the 2 I've heard) I would have been in the hospital quite a few times thus far and still wouldn't have Nudge here. :yuck:

Especially with the GBS+ swab I'm hoping for something really obvious to help me know!

Hello All, Thought I would give a quick update. Today I am 37 weeks and 4 days, ultra sound done today and baby is great right on track for normal weight a little short on the estimate but so are hubby and I LOL, amnionic fluid is still measuring a good amount so no worries! Was checked and still at 1 cm. Which is ok hubby is going through a lot right now so even though I am uncomfortable still wanting to hold out if possible for a little while longer! So Dr said he does not start thinking of any induction until 41 weeks. My DD is exact since we had IVF we know the exact date of conception and all ultrasounds have been showing the same info. Kinda cool since we know we "concieved" on a Thursdays and every Thursday is our weekversery (kwim).

Anyway just wanted to keep everyone posted on my non laboring...waiting self!
