Where's the best/cheapest place to buy a birth pool?

I still don't have one  and it's time for me to get with the program and buy one

Thanks!

I knew a midwife who used a blowup pool from walmart:giggle:

If cheap is what you want then buy a kiddie aquarium pool. Lots of people use them. In fact, my midwife said that she used to use them.

They run around $30.

I bought mine at yourwaterbirth for $40.oo shipping is ridiculous there like $20 but was still cheaper than other places for the actual pool. It has a padded floor too.

Will your midwife rent you one? I know it would cost more money, but it might have a heater and more sturdy walls.

No, she doesn't have rentals. I'll check out the links in the thread, and maybe check Target :giggle:

I bought the kid fish pool off of yourwaterbirth.com. I have not used it yet, due in a couple of weeks, but we blew it up and tested it out and it seems awesome! The sides are nice and tall and very sturdy, I could lean over the side and it stayed inflated and didn't give at all. The bottom also is inflatable, so it isn't like you are just sitting on the hard ground!

If you have the money, http://aquadoula.com/ rents the tubs. It costs much more than a kiddie pool though and even more than what my midwife is asking.

I have always used the Intex blowup kiddie pool for 7 waterbirths. When I needed a new one I bought one from www.inhishands.com
