Anybody ever make a pound cake by weighing the stuff isntead of volume measurements?

I have a half-pound cake in the oven. LOL. I took two sticks of butter, and then took my postal scale and weighed out a half pound each of eggs, sugar and whole wheat flour. I combined the sugar and butter together, then added the eggs, then a splash of vanilla, then the flour. The batter was a lot thicker than normal cake batter, but not as thick as cookie dough. It's in the oven right now. I'll let you guys know how it turns out. :D

It's out of the oven now and so yummy. :drif: The whole wheat flour gives it a nutty taste like WW flour does, but it is very yummy. I'll have to make this again. :lostit:
