Fussy, fussy baby
DS has been fussy pretty much from day one. He's never been a good sleeper either. Eliminated dairy, got a smidge better. Dx reflux and started on Zantac and improved about 50%. Now he seems to be getting worse again. He will be 14 weeks tomorrow, has been on Zantac for just over a month. He's now not even sleeping well with me. We've tried swaddling, belly sleeping, crib, rock n play, bassinet, pnp, the only places he will sleep is the swing sometimes and on me but even that isn't working now.
I think his lack of sleep contributes to his fussy disposition. I'm at a loss.

Re: Fussy, fussy baby
I have fussy infants. Well, not all the time, but both had a 2 hour window of fussy inconsolable ness, went through the same zantac/ no milk stuff and my ped finally just said well, some babies hate being babies. They both grew out of it.

Zantac needs to be adjusted for weight quite often. Has his dose been upped? We started on 15 mg. three times a day for my little one. But it did not work for him.

We wound up with bloody stool and milk and soy allergy. He is now on Alimentum and is a happy baby! It made a world of difference for him.

Not saying to switch to that just giving our experience. Are you seeing a Ped GI? We do and they are much more
Knowledgable about reflux than the ped.

I agree that seeing a Ped GI is a great place to start. General peds tend to throw meds at colic without addressing the actual problem. A GI specialist can solve the problem for you instead of masking it.

My ds2 was allergic to milk- so I cut that out of my diet along with soy because try generally go hand in hand. He got a little better then his reflux kicked back up. He got Zantac & it helped a little but then he went to sleeping 20 mins of every hr. finally got him allergy tested only to find he's allergic to 7 of the top 8!! I'd take your LO off soy as well, see how he does. I'd also take him in for the blood allergy test. Would NOT do the skin test for peanuts because there are new studies showing that that kind of exposure can actually create the allergy. :/
